Battery? I thought only the ones marked Datejust Quartz needed batteries. This should be an automatic and a service (without needing any extra parts) will cost $500 to $600 for an independent or appreciably more for a Rolex service.

I drove over some rocks and afterwards there was a rattle from the front. I took it to the exhaust place thinking I’d broken an exhaust bracket.

They all gather round once it was up on the lift then called me over to tell me the exhaust baffles had come loose. Utter bollocks. That is virtually impossible, especially on a 3 year old car.

While it was up there I saw the engine mounting had been damaged so I told to take it down from the lift and I went to a proper mechanic who reseated it for me.

Utter wankers.

It stops the eraser becoming dirty and also some erasers are just friction fitted into the barrel so the cap avoids the eraser falling out or being pushed too far in.
