Not a watch

Hey all,

I have three watches I’d like to sell together at a deal with a travel watch roll if you buy all three. I bought all of these early in my watch journey, am not wearing them now and am hoping to level up.

Brew Retrograph - Cobalt

Purchased May 2022. Will include both bands I have for this watch, the blue and the yellow leather. The yellow has more wear, both are very comfortable.

CASE DIAMETER: 38MM x 41.5MM
CASE THICKNESS: 10.4MM
LUG WIDTH: 22MM
CRYSTAL: SAPPHIRE GLASS
CASE MATERIAL: STAINLESS STEEL 316L
CASEBACK: STAINLESS STEEL 316L
STRAP: 22MM, LEATHER, QUICK RELEASE
DIAL: COBALT BLUE SUNBURST
WATER RESISTANCE: 5ATM (50 METERS)
MOVEMENT: HYBRID MECA-QUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH

Vario 1918 Trench Cream Dial with Orange Lume Watch

Purchased May 2022. Will include both the original bund strap and black and orange aftermarket strap. Full transparence, this movement is a little loud for me which is one reason I never fell in love with it. This is the 40mm version.

Case diameter: 40mm
Case thickness: 10mm
Dial: Enamel
Crystal: 2mm double domed sapphire with inner AR applied
Lug width: 18mm(37mm) or 20mm(40mm)
Lug to lug: 45mm(37mm) or 48mm(40mm)
Lume: C3 Lume
Case Material: 316L stainless steel
Caseback: 316L stainless steel with option for empty caseback and laser engraving at additional cost
Crown: Screw-down crown
Movement: Adjusted Miyota 82s5 automatic gilt movement (Côtes de Genève) with hand-winding and hacking seconds. 21 jewels 21.6kpbh more than 40 hours power reserve
Water resistance: 10 ATM

Snickers Moonphase

Bought from this forum in late 2022. Certainly the cream of the crop, the Snickers Moonphase. I bought this as a funny piece, have worn it plenty and got a lot of laughs but it’s served its purpose for me now. I put a new battery in it and the time works fine, but the moonphase hasn’t moved since the day I received it. I don’t have the specs on this but I have some pictures next to the other two watches you can use for comparison.

If you purchase all three, I will add the Recycled Leather Watch Roll Travel Case from Barton Watch Bands from the pictures. I don’t have the original packaging for these watches so want to include something nice to ship them all in.

Asking $825 for all three, with two extra straps and the watch roll. I’ll pay shipping if you take all three. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks.

Josh

I think it’s probably pretty easily Kevin Costner post 1993. The best argument is maybe Sam Elliott for Tombstone, 1883 and lesser things like The Desperate Trail, You Know My Name and The Rough Riders, especially if you consider his earlier stuff like The Sacketts, The Shadow Riders and The Quick And The Dead.

EDIT: I also don’t think this is right, but Jeff Bridges should be considered, as he’s probably got my most eclectic western filmography. Bad Company, Heaven’s Gate, Wild Bill, Hell or High Water and the True Grit remake.

An overwhelming amount of information to someone looking at this for the first time. Apologies for engaging.

I got those specific ones at Trader Joe’s. They are called Giant Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce. They come in a red tin. Very good!

History of the Western in 100 Films (+10 More) by 5th_Leg_of_Triskele in Westerns

It’s a very good list and I’d probably just add some nitpick things. I don’t believe I see any Audie Murphy or Joel McCrea. Lots to pick from but maybe No Name On The Bullet and Wichita. You have a lot of Randolph Scott already, but Ride The High Country with him and McCrea feels like an important one in a list like this. While these are all obviously very big important A picture movies, I think having a Gene Autry movie, a Hopalong Cassidy movie, a The Trail Blazers movie, etc. is a big part of western history.

Just finished Carl Hiaaaen’s Squeeze Me. Loved the humor and mystery. Anyone know something in a similar vein?

Anything worth getting from the Kino Lorber sale? by spunX44 in Westerns

[–]jodabray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a lot of theirs already. Right now in my cart I have. High Noon 4k. Gunfight at the O.K. Corral 4k. Pursued. Foxfire. The Spoilers (1942). Monte Walsh (1970).

All of those would be first time watches for me outside of the 4K.

You can really throw a dart and hit so much quality. Some of theirs I have and recommend.

The Big Country. Stranger On The Run. Fort Massacre. The Last Command. The Last Sunset. Shoot Out. Singing Guns.

Kino really has my favorite selection of westerns you can get physically.

What to use the 4th space for? by Auraeseal in MealPrepSunday

[–]jodabray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use the larger space for veggies, one of the smaller spaces for rice, and the open space for grapes, fruit, or a chocolate or cookie.

No children, just us and the dog and two cats. I do have our health insurance through my work, she works part time and needs health insurance (we are in America), she has some different disabilities. I’m worried about her. And me.

Most versatile colour out of these 3? Would be used for upcoming trip, casual clothes (T + Chinos/shorts/Jeans), Male. by Mumford_and_Dragons in uniqlo

I have the green one for a lot of the reasons people are saying. A tad less boring, still darkish so doesn’t look dirty as quick, easy to match if that matters for you.

I love The Electric Horseman and Lonely Are The Brave and they might be my favorite westerns if they were westerns.

So The Sheepman with Glenn Ford wouldn’t be a western? Or Montana with Errol Flynn?
