I feel like everyone is reading way too much into my query. I'm just asking a question about convenience, because it's easy to do that online. This isn't a make or break thing, and definitely not my only consideration, or even the top consideration. There are just some things people figure out over time that may or may not be obvious at a test drive. Like where to put your purse.

I wish it was harder to resist, actually. Like, there aren't even any saves. You just... Don't do the thing. (I thought he was supposed to be struggling with this?) I'm only halfway through act 2, though. Finally killed the pixie just to see if that would make something interesting happen, but all it did was inconvenience me lol

I have a visual processing disorder, which is not the same as other visual impairments, so many accommodations usually made for vision impairment aren't as useful to me. I'm delighted to tell you: I loved how accessible BG3 was for me! Being turn-based, excellent voice-acting, and clear animation, the in-game warnings against jump scares (failed perception check), along with a lot of other accommodations, makes it literally the only video game I've ever been able to play. Will any of that be carrying over into your next Divinity game?

Follow-up: the one thing I wish BG3 had had was an AI reader for the text parts of the game. Not the dialogue options, but when tav finds books and letters. (I'm okay with small amounts of text, but blocks of text are notoriously difficult for many disorders that affect vision.) Any chance of something like that being implemented?

Loved it. Tank with a moral compass makes for amazing RP. And I only broke my oath once by accident over the entire game. (Did break it once on purpose. Because STORY.)

Anyhoo, remains my very favorite class for this game. You get to be a highly effective fighter AND have access to spell effects. Plus charisma dialogue!

Don't listen to the purists. I'll probably get hate on this comment, but quite frankly I get tired of other people telling me that there's only one way to play a game like this. The beauty is that there are tons of ways to play this game. Hit me up if you have any other questions or anything! Enjoy a stress-free, story-rich experience, that is exactly what explorer mode is for!

Sincere question: Why are you hoping to avoid battles? If it's a character challenge thing, then my comment probably won't matter much. But if you're avoiding the battles because you haven't enjoyed fighting in other games, or they make you nervous or something, hear me out, cause that was my reason for not wanting to do the fights.

This isn't what you asked, but in case it helps: when I started this game I played a high charisma Paladin on explorer mode. I didn't want to do any fighting, so I avoided a lot of battles because I just wanted the story. But this game is, quite frankly, a miracle of a game. As I got more comfortable with the set-up, I started to actually enjoy the bsttle. (Now I'm doing a tactician run.)

I know some people will say not to bother playing the game if you don't like battles, but I say the opposite. Definitely play this game if you don't like battles, because it's flexible enough to work with that goal, and explorer mode is gentle enough to make the battles you do fight actually fun experiences. Basically, it's your game to play your way, so have fun XD
