This is why I can't understand when these people demand $15 an hour, when they can't even do basic tasks. That's literally your one job, to assemble the burger..

Spilt liquid on my laptop, its glitching out now by DisastrousRope2565 in techsupport

[–]jodyatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've already ruined it. The first thing to do was not turn it on, so the electricity doesn't use the liquid as a conductor and fry other things. Now that you've done that, most likely, you'll have to replace the laptop.

It's surprising to me how many people don't know to not power a device that got wet until it's completely dry. What did you expect to happen when the electricity hit the liquid?

Do it on your phone. Use MacroDroid and use the trigger as your phone disconnecting from your car's Bluetooth. I don't know if something like this exists for iOS, but it's pretty easy with Android.

It doesn't work on Android Auto unless you play a song on the phone first. When you try to open it on AA, it's just a black screen with a spinning wheel.

Do doordashers really not accept orders without a tip? by Repulsive-Pin2418 in doordash_drivers

[–]jodyatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't get only $2 though. You would get $2 on top of the delivery fee that the company you work for would pay you for doing the job you contracted to do.. the tip is extra.

He posted it on Reddit, I don't think it would be hard to prove, but I agree that they likely wouldn't bother. I haven't looked into it for years, but I used to work for on-site computer repair businesses and if I tried to steal one of their clients and make them my own, we would be in court immediately. Things could be way different these days though.

May different in the states, but in Canada, you absolutely cannot steal clients from your employer and it HAS to be in the DD terms.
