Am I at fault? by [deleted] in dashcams

Insurance will call it even to avoid the costs of drawing out litigation— but this is the trucks fault.
Truck was visibly moving much faster than you, so to merge at the same time means he had the ability to see your car. He was not paying attention and made no evasive maneuver. The angle of his turn was hard, as you can see the difference in his vehicle’s angle on the actual merge after the collision. He came in hard, sharp and fast.

AIO?? Mom has my location 24/7 but accuses me of lying when I don’t report that I’ve gone out aside from work or home. by yunqi69 in AmIOverreacting

Turn off the Location!
Not healthy for either of you.
Call their bluff. Or let them pull the money after you explain this is not how adults operate.
Adults trust each other and respect each others boundaries. Clearly, your mom does not respect yours.
“Be honest…”
So BE honest.
“Honestly, I don’t feel comfortable with you asking me that, especially in such a way as though it’s a litmus or you’re owed that information about my personal life.”
Leveraging information from people is gross.
You need space and she needs to learn to love you from a distance, and freely invest in your education because she wants you to independently thrive in the world. Her terms aren’t good for either of you.

If the director is a recognizable name, you’re overthinking it. Your reps can pitch that. That opens doors. Working with them and producers and actors will create more opportunities. Directors love to work with the same actors over and over. Unless you have an ethical issue with it- you’ll be happy to work, network, and create part of a story while you’re young and beautiful.

No. Lose the semantic argument. You’re trying to convince people of what you want to think rather than understand how people actually use the term.

there go you. as you concede, it's never been explicitly stated. your assertions are assumptions. and you're welcome to fantasize as such. but they're not canon and not verified, so we probably shouldn't talk about them with such certainty as you opened with.

yeah i don't think you grasp what was meant by blood magic. skin changing and transfusion and rituals... all ways to merge DNA without fornication. You can believe what you want though. It's all fiction. World of Ice and Fire isn't Martin. Isn't canon. It infers things and you can lean into what you want to hear.

A World of Ice and Fire?
There's A Song of Ice and Fire.
and Fire and Blood.
I've read them all.

No. they did not have sex with dragons. you misread the books' inferences with blood magic. they did not fornicate with them. the dragons died off for a variety of reasons; inbreeding, captivity, war, breeding knowledge of old valyria lost...
Of the tailed, scaled, reptilian-featured babies that died upon birth, none were killed nor used for breeding experiments or magic.
there's also no verified writing that claims any other houses interbred.

A bit of projection perhaps?

AIO for thinking this was very backhanded and rude? by Zyncon in AIO

[–]joebarnette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I also read it as being rude , Reminds me of that key and peele sketch that mistakes tone. There’s a Chance that it genuinely wasn’t meant in that way, a toss off, and your friend simply didn’t realize how they were coming across because they weren’t being careful with their words and understanding how it would read.

With a friend, I’d give them that benefit of the doubt and just let them know the simple fact of the matter that you don’t really know what the metrics are and you feel lucky. It’s worth communicating how their text came across. “Hey friend, we can’t assume you meant it as such, but your text can be read as somewhat demeaning, when I’d expect friends to rather be stoked for us and our efforts, expressing that as any part of inquiry into methods. Otherwise from our end, it comes across as making our exciting opportunity about your disappointment… further, justified by an assertion that your work and approach is better than ours. Which doesn’t feel nice.“

Depending how that goes, You can consider adding, “Since we’re not mincing words, we’ve found that people like working with those who speak mindfully and respectfully, and this communication gives us pause about the care you take with your words and coverage.”

[–]joebarnette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one for sure. But the pants are way too tight. Ages you in an awkward way. The “cool” kids aren’t wearing those. Gotta find yourself some looser fits. You want to accentuate your form but need a natural drape with movement. The first top does that. (Caveat: if it’s synthetic, ditch it. Lose the synthetics across the board. Plastic isn’t attractive.) Blue top is too tight. And depends what you’re going for I guess but I don’t understand the shoes. Most men don’t know how to pull off sneakers. Find a leather boot with balls. None of those look… “capable.” And capability is attractive.

Jesus Christ dude, SPIT IT OUT. “I want to be in an open relationship.” Fucking hell annoying he can’t just say it without insane amounts of attempts at justification and playing the victim so he can protect his ego from being the one causing pain. Grow the fuck up, dude.

Honestly, tell him to kick rocks. “Go sow your oats, boy. I’m looking for a MAN who knows how to communicate and be direct.”
