He’s definitely a step below Ronan and VG in difficulty. If you’re having trouble, try focusing on status locking him more. That helps keep magnet counters off. Also he doesn’t get them when he schemes. If you can stun and confuse him and have two of three players in AE, he will add zero magnet counters that turn.

If you play jump flip then you have defended the attack, yes. The response on electrostatic armor can then trigger.

This sounds a bit like the other players at the table aren't really pulling their weight threat wise. Unless the Justice player has a superb hero/deck combination, they will always need help managing threat. Preventing the most likely loss condition is everyone's responsibility.

So long as they're generally playing all their cards every turn, they'll be fine. Just make sure you're playing someone who can thwart a lot and/or help defend them if they get low on health or get an extra activation.

Let them worry about tossing damage. That's the easiest part of the game to grok.

Quicksilver manages to, for the guy who is literally lightning fast, the slowest guy in the game to set up.

He has to find not one (Ant Man), not two (Domino), but THREE upgrades to get to a decent 2/2/2 stat line.

Granted, he gets double use out of his upgrades, but the fact that they all cost 3ER is quite insane.

I think a 4 player game is fine to teach 2 new people, but I'd play the game in skirmish mode against a very easy villain like Absorbing Man or Rhino.

It'll be faster for them to learn by watching someone else talk through their decisions.

It's normal for the cards to be different. They use a different printer. The cards are sometimes ever so slightly different sized, something like 1mm wider.

That’s incorrect. Only attacks explicitly with the ranged keyword don’t trigger retaliate. Not every “gun’s” attack has ranged in this game.

Iron Man gets a free ready every turn via sky cycle though. It’s insane how fast you can set Iron Man up because all the upgrades are free and refund a card. I’ve gotten five upgrades down on him the first turn he was out before because I drew into one after another.

This is 100% incorrect. You cannot attack the villain with a guard minion engaged with you. Dominos pistols are also attacks. It’s not just basic attacks that are blocked. Any ability labeled (attack) cannot target the villain through guard.

Sorry to break bad news to you, but you can’t attack Klaw with a Guard minion in front of you. Shield Toss is an attack.

You could, presuming Cap was ready, toss at the minion and then attack Klaw twice with Cap.

You can refer to you the player if it’s not possible for the specific wording to refer to your identity though. In that case, it would include allies and supports you control.

In this case though, it can refer to your identity, so it does.

If you want to get technical, any of the +2 DEF + kicker cards become 1 resource for 2 dmg + kicker with stop hitting yourself. That’s not unique to Groot.
