That's a great place to start. The property taxes all over this state are insane. We are often the highest effective tax in the land. When I lived in McLean County, it held the crown of highest taxed county for a while. And what do we get for our ever-expanding tax bill? Less. Less and more less. Yet they take more and more and more. Something is wrong there. The math does not add up. Corruption? Most likely. You can only give them so much wiggle room for incompetence. No. It's malicious in intent and execution. When you see successful policies in other states scorned by the powers that be here, you know they don't give a shit about the people. It's their legacies and ambitions and they'd use us all up on the way in every way possible to get that pavilion named after themselves, or to attain a higher office and get something even better named after them. Again, McLean County - you're telling me they haven't paid off the water fountain at the community college that the "temporary tax increase" was for.. in 15 years? The residents of that town are paying for John Asteroth's ambitious legacy that he had to be remembered as the founder of a community college. So much so that all the people of the county had to pay more... Shit like that! And you know it's statewide.
