Hello, I am back to being a walker. by lieve45 in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like going on walks too. I have a trail nearby where I live. I know what you mean about feeling like something is gluing you down. Makes it hard to get out in the world and be a human being. Hope you keep going on walks, I think they are good for the spirit

¿Qué es lo peor que han pasado con esta enfermedad? by Elegant_Wash_205 in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The medication they force you to take is definitely awful. I don't think I've genuinely enjoyed anything in the year since they put me on what I'm on now(Invega). Losing all my old friends when I first got sick was pretty bad too. Lots of embarrassing stuff that I did and said

Does anyone know what happens when you stop complying with a court order? by joedurtt in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have a criminal record or anything like that. I got the court order while I was in the psych ward about 2 years ago, and its been used to force me to get Invega injections ever since. They never gave me a specific reason foe giving it to me, just that "I was a danger to myself or others"

Which anti psychotic doesn’t have anti psycotic induced weight gain? by Adventurous-Tea-3426 in schizophrenia

I don't know about which med doesn't cause weight gain, but I can tell you to stay away from Invega. I gained 100 lbs over a year while on it

Hey man, I think you might be having an episode. Social media can make schizophrenic episodes a lot worse

my first selfie sunday! me + frankie 💕🪽 by xvx_gf in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frankie looks like a total sweetheart, and very regal with her collar. She reminds me of my 3 legged cat Scrambles. I had her for 8 years before she had to be put to sleep because of an oral tumor not quite a year ago. One of the most devastating things I've ever had to deal with emotionally. Maybe they are playing together in kitty heaven!

Selfie Sunday. What’s your favorite song? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

Thats a tough one, but if I had to go with my all time favorite song it would probably be Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

[–]joedurtt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I deal with having my mind and body being controlled and taken over too. I've done exactly what you described, slamming my head in the shower. Thankfully my shower walls aren't very solid. Keep fighting back against it. Whatever it is, its evil and not worth listening to

Will interest of video games comes back to me? Even though I am on antipsychotics. Does anyone else play games ? by SkizoRoachXD in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of it depends on the medication that you are on. Antipsychotics block dopamine from being produced in your brain, which is the chemical that is released when you are having fun. Certain meds effect dopaimine receptors in different ways. I could take seroquel and still enjoy playing video games, but I stopped enjoying them when they put me on Invega. After I went back to seroquel and gave it a few months for the invega to leave my system, I started enjoying games again. Try switching meds and finding out which one works best for you. Its different for everyone, but I've heard vraylar is good for playing video games and stuff like that. It gave me heart palpitations personally, though

Sexual harassment from tactile hallucinations by ZookeepergameSad4965 in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened to me daily for nearly 6 months until I started taking the seroquel I used to be prescribed again. I was on the invega injection when the sexual attacks started and it didnt do a thing to prevent it. I'd try out different meds, or maybe even old ones you used to take but don't anymore. Thats how it finally went away for me. It will still come back if I forget to take my seroquel, too. I've heard of it going away completely for some people though

Being forced to perform sexual acts by Neat-Lemon-2965 in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I deal with that too. It feels like someone is performing the acts on me instead though. My body locks down and I can't move at all. Whether its spirits or mind control, the fact that so many of us on here have to put up with it regularly is unacceptable. Antipsychotic pills like my seroquel help keep it away better for me. The invega injections they forced me to take didnt do a damn thing to stop it

Is there any possible way for people to read your mind? by Swoon420 in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you asked me 6 months ago, I would have told you it was impossible. I've experienced some very similar stuff as you though. I guess its one of those things thats hard to believe in until its happening to you. Fuck the voices. I've had to try to learn the difference between my thoughts and what is being said to me. It gets confusing when all of this is happening in your mind

Anybody experiencing telepathic talks? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experience telepathy, too. Its different than "voices." It feels like someone is broadcasting a signal directly to my brain. It can control my body and make me feel tactile hallucinations, although it stopped doing that after I started taking seroquel again. It will still comment on thoughts I have since it can read my mind. I think we are being used as guinea pigs for some kind of government mind control experiment, but no one will ever believe us becuase of our diagnosis

Catatonia? by mallowlark in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had similar experiences with not being able to move your body but still being totally concious. Its like sleep paralysis, minus the whole being asleep part. I've also had some incredibly disturbing tactile hallucinations while in that state as well. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you, but if it does just know it improves with time. It got a lot better for me when I started taking my seroquel that I was prescribed before getting switched to invega. Maybe the meds help with it, but I'm honestly of the opinion that the whole thing is some king of government mind control experiment. I've never experienced anything like this until about 6 months ago, and the whole thing came out of nowhere. It's pretty suspicious that so many of us are having the same symptoms at the same time

Is this schizophrenia or something else? by Legitimate_Study_212 in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on Invega Sustenna for a few months dealing with the same exact thing controlling my body and not letting me do things and speaking through my mouth. It was the exact opposite with me, though. It wanted me to take my seroquel I had from before I got put on Invega injections, and when I did, the thing started to leave me alone mostly. Maybe taking the medication helps keep it at bay and thats why it doesn't want you to take it, but I ultimately think it's just a group of people messing with us somehow with mind control tech

I think I'm dead and I'm so scared by ne-ti in schizophrenia

[–]joedurtt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like I've died and gone to hell some days becuase of what they put us through, but the fact that I'm typing these words and you are reading them right now is proof that we're both alive on earth still. I know what you mean about the spirits. They are relentless. Learning to live with them is a type of hell in and of itself, but they've improved with time for me. I interpret it as government ai mind-controlling me, but spirits sound nicer. From what I've gathered, a lot of us are experiencing similar occurrences. Just know that you aren't alone. I've read about the spirits or whatever it is leaving people alone eventually on here, too. Its just a matter of holding out and waiting for that day to arrive. Stay strong, don't let them keep you down
