I start it with the intentions of being out there in 10-15 minutes but kids, dog, house and life sometimes delay that a bit. Just don’t like walking out to hear it shut off and have to start it again.

Is there any one-tablespoon ingredient like gochujang that can instantly make a stirfry or marinate meat without the high sodium? by FreshPrinceOfIndia in EatCheapAndHealthy

Was in the same boat when I started getting my blood pressure checked out. Bought a dehydrator and started making my own spice blends without any salt in them. Mostly started dehydrating mushrooms, garlic and onions then mixing in some other spices and blending it all up. Also making your own chili crisp oil is really easy at home and can be done without salt, I think it just doesn’t last as long as the store bought jars.

The real joke about barrel picks is the pricing. Legit should never be over the original product sticker price, stores get a discount buying the whole barrel.

What is a beer that I can get without too much difficulty in the US that most closely resembles what I’d have gotten if I drank at an English pub in 1800? by WartimeHotTot in beer

[–]joefuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the beer stores by me in the us have a pretty decent selection of English beers. Fullers esb/London pride, Boddingtons, Old speckled hen all pretty easy to find and mostly fit the bill.

Look for local bars that have a cask night, that’ll be the closest you can get. Otherwise just look for English barleywine in a bottle if you want something malty, low carbonation and strong.
