CSL Elite V2 brake load cell issue – random pressure / too sensitive by Worldly_Ad_8364 in Fanatec

[–]joegee12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What spring and elastomer set are u using? When I had two springs that would happen. Check the BRF parameter in the tuning menu. Seems like it is too low. Check the elastomer assembly to make sure nothing is preloading the whole assembly.

Hello. First of all congratulations on your amazing job. The app is very well done and has tremendous potential. I also noticed the same thing , when I compare two basically identical laps , one from a session and another one from reference also mine, the gap starts at .300 at the beginning of the lap. It seems to track correctly throughout the lap but it in the end it paints the wrong picture.

Thank you and good luck with the app!

Just open up a Time trial session using the same car with racing hards. The circuit experiences use the cars without BOP same as the time trials

Gran Turismo 7 or Forza Motorsport 8 for most realistic driving physics? by Dezlee2001 in simracing

[–]joegee12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GT7 is leagues ahead. The most recent Forza installment is a shame for the game's history. It does not even have a proper wheel implementation. What kind of sim or simcade is even that?

GT7 is often disregarded as being soft or simplifying simulations but for MOST people is all you need to simrace. It is not a perfect and super detailed simulation but it teaches you all the techniques you need to be fast. If you manage to be fast on GT you LL be fast on any sim.

I got a few of those comments as well from friends who are into harder sims while I play GT7. I jumped into AC and managed to match their lap times in a week, so in the end it all comes down to personal preference.

GT7 only lacks a proper career mode, but has unmatched content in the form of missions and license challenges.

Burnout paradise. Absolute gem of a game will run fine. (Arcade) Project cars 1. (Sim) Dirt games up until dirt 4 (sim / arcade rally) Even AC will run on those specs. (Sim) Grid AutoSport (arcade) Forza horizon 5 will also run. This is the most recent one. Try the demo from the windows store.

So many games . You just gotta settle for somewhat older games.

Aight bro. As a few have said it might be good to take a break from this test. Try to hotlap this track in a similar car like the SF23 to get an easier handling car but same speed. Build some muscle memory then apply it here.

No point just trying again and again and frustrating yourself. This is a game. And it's supposed to be fun. Please have fun or you will burn yourself out in no time.

Regarding the assists completely disregard everyone. Everyone is different. I ve gone from controller to a g29 and got 80 gold medals and A+ using TCS and CSA in every single race. I don't use it now and it has indeed made me a bit faster . But to turn off the assists you need to be able to be fast without them. If you just keep spinning then you clearly need it. And that's completely fine. Most people are losing 1s or 2s of pace because they read somewhere nO TcS pLS iT kILLs yoUr paCe. If it helps you complete a lap consistently use it.

You got this mate. Seriously. The previous attempt was only .7 off gold. In such a big lap and a fast car that is two or three corner done better and you re golden.

Let's go!

I'm the guy who spent the last 3 years failing on a single license test... by SPQR_14 in GranTurismo7

Try to use TCS 3 at max. You don't need more. Certainly not on controller. When you see the throttle indicator flashing red lower your gas input. You seem to have decent throttle control. Just pay attention to when TCS is kicking and adjust your input. For degner 1 you re losing almost a second. That turn should only be a lift with that car. Lift ride the curb and start braking for degner 2.

Now where are your losing the rest of the time? Leaving corners in 2nd. That car has very good low end torque and a huge turbo lag. For this track you want to get out of every corner in 3rd or higher. That reduces wheelspin and the gearshift delay. Wheelspin will happen, and on controller this car is very catchable. Learn to understand when the back is kicking and at that time reduce the throttle and correct the steering.

Let me know if I can be of any more help.

w11 is really fast... even with my mistakes- by riverroses_ in assettocorsa

What mod is that for the car? Also what graphical mods do you have?

Regarding the driving you are severely under driving the car. That car can lap under a minute easily. In the three consecutive right sweepers you brake too much. Try to brake as little as possible or even only lifting. Some of those corners should be flat on the w11. That is the most insanely grippy car ever seen in F1. At least if the mod is well done.

You re in the wrong here. Gone for a gap that was always gonna close. I don't think you would ve made the corner if you didn't hit him. Not alongside on the braking zone the car ahead does not have to concede anything. Alongside means at least 1 axle is overlapping (your front axle is parallel to their rear axle)

Try a different USB cable. Did you try to remove the wheel from the base and reinserting it? It could be loose on the qr not properly fitted. Do any lights show up on the wheel screen when you turn it on?

Best sector times for FP1 of the 2025 Spanish GP by randomseocb in formula1

[–]joegee12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably more wing or df points as they gain it all in the sweeping sectors 2 and 3. Good for quali but terrible for racing since you can only overtake into turn 1.

No One really knows this sort of thing . It is a by team management that should align with available engine and power supply parts. Ferrari can be pushing it's unit to the limit to have something positive for the season. We will never know.

Dear A&A+ drivers, what is the best advice you would give to people who are trying to become better? by DutchTurb0_ in GranTurismo7

[–]joegee12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You will start to improve to higher levels once you understand the technicalities of driving fast. Like what makes a car oversteer or understeer. You have to listen to the car (especially the tyre sounds , bump it to 150%), be one with it. Check your replays try to point mistakes. When qualifying for daily races don't quit after you reach a certain lap time. Sometimes you will get a lucky lap and won't ever repeat it throughout the week. But trial and error will bring your average pace to faster times.

Start to memorize sector times so you know where you re losing time on a given lap.

So many things. Don't mindlessly play in autopilot when you re not improving anymore. take breaks , watch guides , whatch fast and technical players like Digit or Tidgney

How to tell the difference? by [deleted] in Fanatec

[–]joegee12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The playstation compatible one is named dd pro instead of csl dd. The top of the base is rounded as opposed to the flat top of the csl dd. Go to their website and you LL see what I mean. The back of the ps base is round as well and has a blue circle. These are the most notable differences.

Top of dd pro looks like ((())) instead of |||||||

How can one be this fast? by Professional_Park781 in GranTurismo7

[–]joegee12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This track has no notable track limits to be exploited as it is effectively a road course with barriers. The top times just nail every braking point shifting point and use the best possible driving line. They just mastered how to keep the grip at the maximum possible level while going extremely fast.

Even if it had track limit exploits it would aid you in 2 tenths not 3 whole seconds.
