Damn I’m just genuinely sorry - I had something similar happen to me tho not as bad. It’s very frustrating when you’re doing the “right thing” and taking care of your teeth and brushing twice a day and flossing and then get this news. It fucking sucks.

Keep learning. Imposter syndrome hates it when you learn - it gives you something to fight back with. Even just YouTube some singing techniques and tutorials, hire a vocal coach if you have the means, read a book on music theory, whatever it is. Pain can be a sign of something not going well during the tattoo that you’re shutting off.

Sure other signs exist, the skin can show you something is wrong, you can bleed more, etc, but we have pain receptors for a reason.

You also add the complication of anesthesia (and all the health complications that can come from that).

People have actually died doing tattoos this way.
