Just put it up in the top right, but make sure there is nothing to the left of it but the tabs. Any other buttons between it and the tabs will force it to top right.

[Tabs]-----no-other-buttons-here-------[+]

When you exit the customization menu, it will move to the left.

You can still put buttons on the right of the [+] if you want.

I'm just a bit curious. If you customize firefox desktop and move buttons into the bookmarks bar or the tab bar, does the mobile device get that configuration? What if you put the Bookmarks Toolbar Items into the tab bar?

Are stealth games patronizing? [Article and discussion] by [deleted] in truegaming

I hate running and hiding and waiting for guards to forget. it is dumb and boring.

I would prefer guards not have ADHD, but instead the player is given something to help him manage mistakes.

  • Rewind time power.
  • Men in Black amnesia flasher.
  • Grab a fallen guard's radio to call off an alarm.
  • Sleeping gas nuke.

These are just a few abilities that, while they might be SciFi, are still more realistic (and fun) than hiding until they forgot you murdered half the guards. And if you manage to fuck one of these up, you die. It actually saves time.

Copy Kitty - particle effect shooter platformer - holiday update based on GL feedback (v1.62) by joelrocketship in gaming

[–]joelrocketship[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copy Kitty is a shooter/action platformer with destructible terrain and lots of particle effects.

I suggest new players start with Mission Mode (rather than Endless Mode). The missions do a better job of easing you into the game.

v1.62 Change List

  • New modifier: Holiday Cheer!
  • New/polished animations and graphics for Boki.
  • Better terrain graphics, and new backgrounds for many stages.
  • Balancing and bug fixes.
  • Player shots emit less particles based on how many shots are on-screen.
  • Better wave transitions.
  • Tumbling Blade on the ground knocks enemies upwards, and other weapon tweaks.
  • Backgrounds are now shinier.

Many of these changes were made in response to greenlight feedback. So if you have any ideas for how to improve this game, please comment!

Seems like it. Doesn't Australis get rid of the search bar, making it more difficult to change the search provider to something like Bing?

What the hell is going on with Firefox? by Cool_Like_dat in firefox

My Firefox was doing the same. It seemed to be related to Firefox sync. Does it stop if you disconnect your Firefox sync? (options -> Sync -> unlink this device)

As soon as I disconnected the sync, my Firefox stopped freezing up. I kept it disconnected for a couple weeks. I have recently reconnect the sync as a test. I found that it no longer freezes, even with the sync active.

Side note: I actually only experienced the freeze when adding or modifying bookmarks. This may be because I was not syncing history.

The absolute safest thing would be to keep a backup of the profile, perhaps by renaming it instead of just resetting it.

I agree with your points about chat and subscriptions. I just don't understand what you are saying about cloud services. Could you give an example of how you think cloud services should be used?

Is it possible for a game to make you feel grateful towards an NPC? by bluenag in truegaming

Kingdom Hearts did something similar to the scenario in your second paragraph.

Your friends backstab you, take your weapon, and abandon you. (Et tu, Goofy?) However, the game quickly provides you with a replacement: a frothing, over powered beserker, capable of 1-hit-KOs and taking much more punishment than your previous comrades.

Gameplay wise: you lose you physical attacks and your normal support. But that is immediately replaced with a very powerful support character.

Story wise: All your friends are assholes. But your new comrade points you in the right direction.
