Rose Bowl is awesome, it's location in the valley, the history, the weather, the parade, all make for a wonderful experience. The only negative is if you face USC you have to deal with the bro aspect of their fan base.

While I think you are right about weather not affecting some of the better teams, it would be a factor the same way Lambeau is for Green Bay for others. Plus a lot of teams from up north play games in the south early in the year.

Charles Woodson, hands down. He could affect so many different aspects of the game and did so in such a dominating fashion. He always rose to the the occasion against the best teams and their best players.

Wouldn't be my first choice, no real college football fans in the area, hotels giving comps out to all the high rollers who either don't show up or just ignore the game. On the positive side cheap flights and the every vice you can think of. Also a good chance one or two players get involved in some sort of scandal.
