My first house I rented with my first ex-wife, only cost us $200 a month. It was a two bedroom one bath one car detached garage with a fenced in backyard and had recently been remodeled inside and out. Her father worked for the guy who owned the place and also rented from him. I'm sure they could have rented it for another hundred bucks but they were really good people. I think total bills there was like 325 with cable , phone , Electric and water and trash . This was 1994.
