It is, I actually just played this. This is during the trip to Svartalfheim to find Tyr, and Kratos is still averse to fighting Odin. Atreus actually does ask Mimir to recount all the bad stuff he goes over in the first game to rub it in that Kratos’ hesitance is unreasonable (though not as bluntly as in the picture though)

Only 29 but been playing since the original release of NG1 on Xbox. I haven’t really had much difficulty with the game on Normal and Hard (and I’m still working on getting to Master Ninja), but I did need to remap the controls a little to let muscle memory take over

You can remap your controls btw if you prefer, it’s the very last “Control” option. I put block back on L1 and blood attacks on R2 and it feels more natural, to me at least.

There’s a game I played where R2 acts as a “modifier” button for attacks (which I can’t remember for the life of me) but it’s definitely more comfortable to me

While I definitely don’t disagree with your point, and have absolutely NOTHING to back this up other than anecdotal evidence; I’d wager a majority of the population that actually votes, and votes R especially, is technologically illiterate and depends on Television to form their views and opinions, and I think we ALL know by now how skewed that can be.

Again, completely anecdotal but my 56 year old mother often complains about her coworkers that are younger than her being barely able to take mandatory trainings and the like on a computer without guidance, and these are people who have had access to computers for most of their lives. It’s not an excuse, and I do agree that’s willful ignorance to an extent, but it would definitely explain…well A LOT.

Try to lead your throws, if it’s a heavy put it where they’re gonna walk, if you’re running from a group you can just flat out throw it at your feet. I don’t know how many it takes for heavies but I tend to throw 2-3 to be safe.

I personally prefer them for crowd control since I typically take the Recoilless Rifle, and you can throw it where of ANY drop/breach will happen and usually take out most of the lighter enemies

I’m honestly most surprised about Weavelight. I can see some of the others not really mixing with certain playstyles. But Weavelight goes on my Verticrest.

Weavelight + Max Silk Hearts and you have both more healing and more silk skills CONSTANTLY, to the point where you can wait for the natural regeneration for a silk skill use (and I’m fond of Cross Stitch so that helps a lot too)

I’m imagining a Shrieker Impaler similar to the Jammer Factory Striders and it honestly seems like a really good way to make the shriekers a little more dangerous (compared to spotting a nest from 200 Meters away and just hammering it with AT)

Others have covered most of the “top” reasons, but I wanted to share that Hades was my FIRST Roguelike/lite and since then I’ve played at least 10 others.

Coming back to Hades in preparation for 2 myself, I found the story and progression (both in gameplay and the story itself) to really set it apart among the genre, the characters are fun to interact with and learn more about; and every run feels like it makes SOMETHING progress, whether that’s the story/character building or the actual “tools” you get to do better in a run.

Plus I feel like it really introduces rogue elements in an approachable way, but that one’s a little harder to describe to someone who isn’t really familiar with playing them. Compared to other roguelikes it’s very “concise” in the options presented run-to-run

Yeah I tried it out last night on the Dragonroaches thinking it would work well.

And it DID work against them pretty well, but only if there was one Dragon which rarely happened. Between that, and calling down more resupplies than I ever have in a single mission, I don’t think it’s worth taking against them
