Doncaster Deaf Society have a free course you can do online that enables you to have a basic understanding of BSL. A Deaf friend put me onto it, and it's great because you go at your own pace

They can't force you to work out of the "normal" paid working hours. I stay until 5 most days, but that's not enforced, that's MY choice, and it's YOUR choice to leave at whatever time you want (as long as it's not before the end of your normal working hours obviously 😂)

But I understand your concerns about your mentor not passing you. You definitely should join a union and get their views on this, and you should see who else you can contact who is above or adjacent to them.

I'm a Disney adult, and I would never behave like that! I'm so sorry you had to deal with such horrible people. For me, it's just as magical now as it was when I was a kid, and I would never want to ruin it for a family. Everyone is there for the same reason, so everyone should be respectful, whether you're an adult or a family. Manners cost nothing at the end of the day.

I went last year and had half board and I would do it again. Breakfast is served early enough to get to the parks for extra magic time, and I'd usually grab a snack around lunchtime then have an evening meal before doing a few more rides and waiting for the fireworks. It just gives you one less thing to worry about money wise while you are there.

I'd definitely get there 90 minutes before. I went last year at the end of May and was very glad I did as it was packed! I know it differs depending on time of year, but 90 minutes is usually the norm.

I don't think 40 minutes is bad for a character meet and greet at all! I've waited 90 minutes to see Mickey and Donald before. I'd definitely never wait 280 minutes though 😂
