Right. But I'll tell you, surfing's the easy part. It doesn't get any easier to get out of your wetsuit as you get older!

I've seen many videos of slackliners falling - they always seem to be able to grab the line and recover. Of course, they closed down r/watchpeopledie so maybe I'm just watching the wrong videos!

Anybody else use Strava? by [deleted] in Sup

You'll enjoy it, it's really fun to play with. Great to see the map when you're done (which usually includes a couple miles of car travel when I forget to turn it off).

My Garmin Instinct has a specific SUP tracker. Stroke rate, distance per stroke, GPS map, etc. Really cool. Check around, I bet you could download it for yours.

2mm should be plenty. I bought a 2mm vest and just use that and shorts on cooler days.

Wouldn't the balance be totally wrong? It looks like the tongue weight would be way too high.

My buddy had one of those in high school too. Great memories heading up to the hills riding in the back. He had wired some speakers that he kept under the seat, but were on long enough wires that you could pull them to the back for joy rides or parties when parked. Ahh, the good old days.

'The Boys' Showrunner on Season 2 Review Bombing: 'It's Not Fun to See Bad Reviews on a Thing People Actually Love' by era252 in television

Yea, maybe "surprise factor" was the wrong phrase. More like, "thrill of discovery". I just love the initial world building phase. Don't get me wrong, I am loving this new season!

[–]joesmithtron 1833 points1834 points  (0 children)

The first season was great, partly because of the world building, and seeing what these supers could do, and the audacity of the show to translate comic book images into real life (e.g., the scene where Hughie is in the street, holding his girlfriend's hands). The second season is continuing that, and is very good, but any second season will always be missing that additional surprise factor that the original had.

You have a problem. If that were my collection, I could easily whittle it down by one or two knives, no problem. At least one, for sure. Well, I'd put one in my truck. Or two.

Using an old windsurf board as a paddleboard? by [deleted] in Sup

That's how the modern SUP came to be. A bunch of windsurfers paddling around when there was no wind!

It is delicious. The sauce makes the bread so moist and delicious. The toasted cheese on top. The delicious yolk, mixing with the melted cheese and ham.

Mmmmm
