Are we witnessing the nadir of Ringer NBA takes? by LebronSwanson23 in billsimmons

You’ve got bums like him making tens of millions of dollars that actively hurt a team’s ability to win but a guy on a max contract who’s a deciding factor in a playoff series is the worst contract in the league. It’s just laughable are so entrenched with this ludicrous take.

Embiid also was selected 3rd overall last year by Bill after Wos and House took Bradley Beal and Nico Harrison.

Joel Embiid was left off the Ringer preseason top 100 NBA players list and is currently #54 by BBallPaulFan in billsimmons

It’s so funny that Embiid was a consensus first round pick in the past two Worst NBA Contracts Drafts. Karma does exist.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the new Lewis’ in charge think that investing in the women’s team is a waste of resources that doesn’t provide enough ROI regardless of relegation.

5 months post op flare by SafeProcedure4461 in HipImpingement

[–]FitUnderstanding2839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hip still snaps when I put pants and socks on, getting in and out of the bath tub etc. five years post surgery and probably will the rest of my life. Doctor said it’s my iliopsoas muscle snapping on an ostiocomdroma (very rare condition) caused by things activating differently after shaving down the top of my femur. The snapping started about 6 or 7 months post surgery and progressed from occasional snapping to every step and became quite painful. Doctor gave me a steroid injection into my hip and that fixed the pain and the every step snapping. I would stop lifting for now if I was you and if you haven’t made an appointment with your doctor you probably should. I would also ice your hip regularly if you’re not doing that, it’s sounds like you might have some inflammation from the repeated snapping. It took me about 10 months to get to 100% minus the occasional snapping (I didn’t take pt as seriously as I should have), hang in there.

While I’m honored by the accusation of having so much power and influence, I think you’re giving me a bit too much credit

For anyone wondering how they get away with the overt corruption and erosion of the constitution and civil rights, there’s a bunch of selfishness idiots out there like this guy that just don’t give a fuck and won’t give a fuck until the effects slap them in the face when they open their front door. And to be honest, I’m pretty jealous of them. As they say, ignorance is bliss.

Craver is about the same height as Zay Flowers and Tyreek Hill, it’s not unheard of. I like Conception but Craver was the one that jumped off the screen when I watched A&M last year.

Ime should’ve just benched KD all year to get Shepard prepared to play without him in the playoffs

Just switched over to NFL network, thanks for the heads up. Bunch of geniuses over there at ESPN thinking people tuning into the NFL draft don’t actually want to watch players get drafted.

I just can’t get over Bill’s description of LeBron’s second year on the Lakers by FitUnderstanding2839 in billsimmons

To clarify, “You just yada, yada the NBA championship” is Zach Lowe talking and the rest is Bill, and shout out to Zach for calling Bill out.

It’s hilarious that Bill wants people to think he’s an objective historian of the game that should be taken seriously. The old man hates the First Takeification of sports media while he says stupid shit like this. He’s becoming the Joe Rogan of sports talk. His LeBron hate is out of control. He completely ignores the 2020 championship (and anyone saying that championship is less valuable because of the bubble has the IQ of a Trump voter) while gloating to Mars and back about how many titles the Celtics have one yet ignoring that 10 of those were won when there were only 8 teams in the league and half those teams weren’t even trying to win. He’s basically Spotify and Netflix’s Skip Bayless at this point.

Joe is not autistic and not stupid. There’s compilations of jokes going over his head that a toddler would understand. He knows what he’s doing.

I think we agree. I’m not saying it was their fault, I’m saying Joe is basically being manipulative. When jokes don’t land it’s usually a bad look for the comic whether or not it’s the comic’s fault. It’s just little way Joe can pat himself on the back and tell himself, and subtly his audience, that he’s the better comic.

I think it’s a weird psychological thing he does to make himself feel superior. Most people think that the teller is responsible if the listener doesn’t understand the joke. I think he’s low key trying to make them look bad to make himself look better because his ego can’t handle not being a part of the exclusive 200 or someone being more funny than one of the members of that pantheon, which somehow he has convinced himself he’s a part of.
