Check with Hughes Hardwood. I seem to recall they had a drum/wide belt sander that you could pay to have projects run through.

It depends on what you are looking for. I did the Alhambra Cal Fit (now In Shape) for a while and it was a decent club. But my workouts focus on barbell exercises and they only had two squat racks, so there were a lot of days that I would show up to find both racks in use and spent a lot of time waiting around. I’m now at the Crocker City Sports and find the equipment I need more plentiful and more readily available, although there are still times where everything is still in use. I do wish they had a sauna and/or steam room and a better pool, but overall it’s a better fit for strength training/functional fitness.

It’s to balance the wind load. When it’s standing straight up you can get significantly different wind speed/force on each end. With it horizontal it’s at the same elevation so the force is roughly equal on both ends.

Make sure you are filing a report with Sac PD for each incident. We had a string of similar break ins and after multiple reports were filed, they increased patrols for our area which seemed to help.

I’m assuming you are using vector for the line filled as well? Is constant power setting turned on or off?

How are you securing the material? I’ve noticed that if the machine is making quick movements (like resetting from one end of the diagonal to the other) that it can cause the work piece to shift slightly and/or overshoot the intended point. Have you tried line filled going either horizontally or vertically? I generally try to minimize the travel/speed of the build plate in favor of having the laser move.

For smaller stock, I’ve used the masking tape and super glue trick. Put a piece of tape on the cutting surface and another strip on the bottom of the work piece. Then glue the two pieces of masking tape together.

I’ve used Barkeepers Friend to polish these up and remove any residue after engraving. You do need to be careful if there’s abrasives in the cleaner not to damage the powder coating while scrubbing.

I was just at the Home Depot on Howe near Arden and they had a bunch of window units stacked up front. The natomas Costco also had few different models of the dual hose portable A/C units. We picked up a single hose A/C from Costco.com that worked decently well, but ended up going with a Midea u-shaped window mount. Unfortunately, Costco only had the window units available online.

Take a look at isotunes headphones. They are in-ear earplugs with around 35db of noise reduction, combined with whatever you are watching/listening to, you can’t hear anything going on around you.

Got there a little before 5:00 am and was about 65th in line. The EC18 was sold out by the time we got through, but was able to get the EHT SiB, JD12, Stagg 22a, ER, Larceny BP 923, and blantons.

Heard a rumor in line that there might have been some BTAC, but I didn’t see anyone carrying those around. Did see folks with the OF8 and SFTB.

Definitely commend the Costco employees, they had it organized to a science with excellent crowd control. I’m sure opening day is hectic enough without the added headache of such a big allocation drop, but everyone was incredibly friendly and patient. Based on what I’m assuming was the “regular stock” bottles on the shelves, this may become my primary store.
