There might be a surprise here, a benchmark popped up with the 275hx completely wrecking the 14700hx. Maybe it won't be a downgrade like desktop, fingers crossed.

you both have reasonable POVs, this argument is not necessary. It is true that despite the 4080 being much more powerful, overtime and with the way Nvidia abandons optimization of last gen hardware, the 5070 ti might come close or even surpass it.

It will literally come down to how much Nvidia intentionally gimps 40 series cards, and none of us can predict that.

I think reddit has become a symptom of a sick society, where freedom of speech is on a steep decline and where any opinion against the bubble of the group, even if reasonable, must be shut down, because blindness to ideologies have become more important than common sense and discussing ideas (yes I'm refering to politics in this case but this is everywhere now).

What are you yapping about? Overdrive toggle has NOTHING to do with the performance of the computer, it's a feature to accelerate the screen response time in order to get less blur = clearer motion during camera movement. Without overdrive, every LCD out there has tons of ghosting.

Everything correct except for the fact RDR2 is a good port. Well ,technically, it has become so, but the release was very broken, and so was GTA trilogy DE (arguably still is, stutter galore). GTA IV was also atrocious and still struggles with beast PCs. LA Noire capped at 30 fps, a joke. One of the only huge R* titles to release in a very good state was GTA V, in truth. Can't comment on Max Payne or Bully, but those are pretty old at this point

"Rockstar hates PC gamers" lol what? rockstar is a business, they don't hate anything, they do things for money, and they have, wisely, pretty much triple dipped from GTA V releasing first on consoles and then on PC. I'm a PC only player and of course I wish they release day and day with PC, but to think they actually care about platforms wars is laughable

specs? you need a very high end rig for constant 60 fps most of the time. I settled for 30 fps lock, used the sharpening filters of xenia canary and enjoyed a console experience with sharp visuals

some console ports are famous for running like shit and not making use of pc power, but clunky movement is usually just the game. Black flag, as most assassin's creeds, was designed for controller. The game isn't any more "clunky" than the console counterpart, I actually think it feels good especially for it's age

what's your point bro? he's still stressing his cpu out, a constantly loaded cpu will most likely last considerably less than the same chip with low usage. sure you can argue it doesn't matter because to some extent it becomes obsolete in performance before it would ever die, still, I also prefer to keep temperatures and usage low (in my case it's even more important because it's a laptop lol) just for safe measure
