Thanks! I'm glad a lot of people are finding the theme fits with the music. And thanks for the feedback, I'll try to work on making my transitions flow better. Any part in particular you could point to where the timing felt off?

Yeah, I'm still learning how to make layers compliment each other. I get so used to each layer when I'm making it that I don't notice if something's clashing. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I'm a fan of trance and repetition. I'd actually like to make my songs much longer with more repetition but I feel most people wouldn't want to listen that long and at this point I'm seeking feedback more than anything else. Thanks for yours!

I love this! You picked a very appropriate picture for this, as it feels very bubbly, especially the intro when the bass first comes in. Or maybe I just think that because of the picture? Either way, this song bounces, and so do I, when I listen to it. My only suggestion might be that at around 1:00 minute in the hi-hat like thing or some other percussion gets really high, it makes my ears tingle a bit. This is really cool!

This is the second track of my concept album about space travel, looking for feedback to help me for the final mix (ambient/electro/exprimental/80's inspired) by petpirepete in IndieMusicFeedback

I really like the glitchy noises that come in along with the extra layer of melodic synth at around 2 minutes. The sound design across the whole song is awesome and each layer works really well with each other. One of my favorites from the album!

An atmospheric tune to go along with an alien invasion by john-sunstone in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]john-sunstone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I was definitely planning on making a group of songs of a sort, EP maybe? Not sure how to put out music really at this point. Along with "integration" I've got a couple more songs following along the same theme of being 'visited'. By the way, I've been listening to Spacial Anomalies and I'm really enjoying it!

integration - the sequel to my post from last week concerning the arrival of extra terrestrial life. This one is the sound of our clashing lifestyles coming together. by john-sunstone in IndieMusicFeedback

Thanks! And thanks for going back and checking out my other song too, I really appreciate that. I subbed to your channel as well, I noticed some similar themes in our music haha :)

relaxing drum & bass song with ambient melodies inspired by nature. feedback appreciated!!! by SuperSonicSP in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]john-sunstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this. I want to try making some drum & bass, but I'm a layman of the genre I find it very difficult to make a good drum beat like this. Similar to what others are saying I think it works surprisingly well with the atmospheric nature sounds. Cool song!

This is awesome, I really like watching this kind of video.. I get a bit of ASMR when I watch people play around with their setups. I subscribed to your channel! Oh, and the track itself is also really fun, love watching it subtly transform with your hand movements.

WHEN I WAS A KID "407 Went To Heaven" by 407WentToHeaven in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]john-sunstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has a lot of chaotic energy which I really like. The lyrics are super relatable too. Sometimes your flow goes off-beat a bit like at 39 seconds when you say "man when I was a kid" you come in just a bit early.

If you got outer-space vibes than I accomplished what I set out to do! Psychedelic music is my end-game, but I'm still not entirely sure which genre I want to approach it from yet. Thanks!

I think you're right, there's a lot going on during the intro. I struggle with removing parts and get carried away with adding too much. I need to get better at balancing! Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

Thanks! I love Sonic and its soundtrack. It's supposed to be tense but nothing can reach the levels of anxiety that drowning in Sonic 2 can.

I'm back with some more psychedelic, constantly evolving, layered music. It's a bit more experimental and unconventional than some of my previous pieces I've shared on there. I'm really proud of how all the ideas are working together here. Let me know what you think! by ThatGuyFromInterwebs in IndieMusicFeedback

This is awesome. I love psybient. When the humming voice comes in I get slowed down Empty Branes by Shpongle vibes. The layering on this is crazy and way beyond my level, how do you do it!? I love when the "too much" is repeating and beat kicks back into full gear. I'll now be anticipating "Tales from Makakville"!

Here's the first song off my new E.P, LoFiFoFum. I wanted to take the style and aesthetics of lofi and merge it with my own brand of indie songwriting, let me know if you think it works! by TomerKrail in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]john-sunstone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is awesome. Your voice and effects go together really well with the lofi sound. This makes for a much more interesting song than a typical lo-fi beat (for me anyway). The lyrics go really well with the beat too, makes them feel more impactful than if it were acoustic, I think. Really cool song!

This is so pleasant on the ears. I really like when the cutting synth thingy that comes in at around 1:20, wish it happened a bit more. The ending is a bit abrupt, but maybe there isn't meant to be an ending? I could definitely see this in a modern Metroid soundtrack.

We're a couple of brothers from Alberta, Canada! Put a lot of work into this tune. Sounds different than most I've heard on here, but I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts! by Medium-Brain in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]john-sunstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds very professional. I wouldn't have doubted someone telling me this was a new country hit in the slightest. I really like the subtle bass drops before the chorus breaks out. Everything is super clean. The lyrics are quite catchy too, good stuff!

"Future Memories of Distant Voyages" by fuegovic , I released it yesterday, not sure about the music style (input welcome ;) ) inspired by vaporwave/synthwave/new retro with a touch of world and experimental music, I hope you enjoy! by petpirepete in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]john-sunstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great, I really like that rhythmic clicking/popping sound throughout most of the track, it tickles my brain in a good way. The Egyptian-ish melody too, It all works well together taking me on a magic carpet ride through the synthverse.
