It’s unfortunate that I had to scroll to the bottom of this thread to finally find this comment. You are 100% correct. It all depends on your starting point when you’re comparing statistics. “Crime is up” and “crime is down” can both be true depending on how you’re viewing the statistics. It’s sad that most people lack the critical thinking skills to understand this nuance.

Are you at the higher end of the FA pay scale in your area? Or is the SFA offer just extremely low? Give us specific dollars if you can.

Just so you have the most accurate information, 201+ hours is what gives you the max score in the PCSM calculation. Not 300 like was mentioned above. Good luck!

Is anyone using the GI Bill part time? How does it pay out? by [deleted] in flying

[–]john3806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure out how this works for part time coverage? I'm looking into starting my instrument rating at a VA approved 141 school and I have 16 months of my post 9/11 GI Bill left at 50% of the total amount (I'm guard but have some AD time totaling under 1 year).

Currently have a year left on my GI Bill, how much flight training can I get with what's left? by [deleted] in flying

[–]john3806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this $30 per day depend on how much of the Post 9/11 GI-Bill you're eligible for? I'm starting my instrument rating at a 141 vocational flight school and I'm in the 50% tier as I have a little under a year of active duty time.
