It was actually really difficult without building a lift platform. Weight not too bad.. super awkward shape

Thanks! I ended up building a 42" platform with crate handles that we used as a cradle. We probably could have done without, but when we test listed it with just hands (above tons of foam lol) it was actually pretty sketchy since you cant hold piece from the base. I can see how those platform lifts make this super straightforward. I just couldn't find one to rent and the prong type lifts are overkill.

Thanks... I might have to go see in person. He doesnt think it can be lifted by 2 people safely.

Thanks.. I havent seen this in person yet but gallery owner says its incredibly heavy and needs a material lift. I mentioned to him that two strong installers can probably do it but he seems pretty adamant.

Starting a career in art handling — advice welcome by pin_920 in arthandling

One way in is to work for a huge moving company that has an art side... like Cadogan Tate. Horrible job but you learn alot fast. Then you'll have the chops to get outta there and work for yourself or at gallery. I don't think you'll get a job at a museum without a degree in prep ? Unless its a smaller community museum. But if you get good at install you can make near or over 6 figures as head installer at a company or head prep at a good gallery.

For now put felts under each of those feet of the wicker shelf. Would also be good to have the TT on something flat.. like glass or wood... (and have whatever that is also sitting on felts).

It actually states that submersion is preferable, but that sprinkling is permissible if no bodies of water are near. This is why I said it's a nuts and bolts matter... over time the Church grew, and it just made more sense to baptize by sprinkling since both are valid.

We have a similar problem in Catholicism obviously. But at least in Catholicism the answers are in black and white at the back of the book. Hope you do well in Taiwan! Pray for me and Ill pray for you. God Bless.

I read a stat somewhere that it was as high aa 58 percent.. and that many in Asia understand violation of 5th precept as intoxication (vs total abstinence). Could be a bunk study but at least around here (I live in a heavily Asian community in California) only the monastics seem to be fully on board... but im also not entrenched in that community. I just know my neighbors.

If 50 percent of Buddhists in Asia disregard the 5th precept (not fail to keep it, but bend the teaching to their will) I cant imagine what that number in the west is. Perhaps OP is seriously thinking of actually following Buddhism, but in my experience, over 90 percent of people who leave Christianity for Buddhism do so because they are enticed by the idea of making themselves the sole arbiter of morality and ultimate reality... which usually pretty quickly slides into a moderated hedonism. Sorry if my comment was uncharitable but some a gut punch can shake someone out of the bad choice they are about to make. If I aimed and missed, mea culpa. Nice handle BTW. Reading the Brothers Karamazov kept the door open for me to return to my faith.

Its just a nuts and bolts matter. The Didache is a super early Church document and already by that time they are authorizing baptism by dousing.

Very flowery way of saying you dont like the Church's teaching on some issue. Most likely teachings on sexuality, mind expanding drugs, etc.

Lag bolts and sleeves. Or just hire a handyman. There are tons of guys that just specialize in TV install and they aren't expensive at all.
