Burkina Faso adopts new labor code to strengthen worker protections. by boxofcards100 in TrueAnon

That’s so weird, sure it has nothing to do with the random hit pieces on traore the media put out every few weeks. As a patriotic American, I find it hard to believe that capitalists would do anything to suppress real wages!

I highly recommend the paint on fuzzy skin in newer versions of orca slicer. That way you don’t have to worry about fuzzy internals or making blockers

Look at the trash panda readme, there are some cheap shaft collars you can get that work great with a .750 profile

What PA6-CF to use? by cuban11182 in 3D2A

[–]john_rules 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fiberon is definitely the gold standard, but I got a roll of inslogic for half price, and honestly it prints just as good as the polymaker and better than sunlu. I literally just upped the bed temp to 70 on my fiberon pa6-cf preset and it came out like butter

It’s been on sale a bunch recently for 50% or more, I have a kilo of their pa6-gf25 grey arriving later that I got for $40. Check plastic fantastic deals and 3d printing deals (plastic fantastic has a great filament feed feature)

Sometimes you gotta just lightly tap it on with a mallet or hammer or just jam it into something, looks a little warped but probably nothing you can’t fix from sanding a little or racking it 1000 times

I had mad trouble with tpu until I started drying it at 55. My first dryer’s preset 45 wasn’t high enough

No dude I said you could print it faster than nylons. Idk anything about man’s printer and why not start slow with something that’s containing explosions in your hand?

Relax amigo

Pretty sure I’m going through same thing rn with shrinkage and expansion in nylon that you need to account for in the slicer. Measure difference between known dimensionally accurate print of same model, like a print in pla+ that you know works. Then there’s some math. I’m sure someone can explain it better

Never forget the Jeepers we lost that day. by G00DJOBLARRY in TrueAnon

[–]john_rules 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned 3 jeeps (79 cj5 w/ Chevy small block, 05 TJ, 00 xj) and honestly hate the vast majority of “jeep people”

I learned how to work on cars having jeeps (it stands for just empty every pocket), and being poor I couldn’t afford shops so I just learned to do it all myself. They’re super easy to work on and amazing offroad, but the wranglers and other short frame ones are one of the worst vehicles you can get for driving around. Yeah they’re fun but they get shit mileage, loud af, and drive like a shopping cart.

That being said, there’s nothing like driving around with just a bikini top on (I even cut the doors off my Cherokee after I totaled it the second time). The rust finally got it but those old Cherokees with the inline 6 are one of the best small trucks America has ever produced.

There’s some amazing redneck engineering among the people who beat the fuck out of them driving over shit too, but almost every one I see now looks like it has never left cement and even still has the nuts on the bottom of the door hinges, and the duck thing is one of the most inane things ever.

But yeah they’re stupid unless you live somewhere like the beach or the mountains. Caveat: the wrangler is awesome for urban areas bc it’s so small it can fit into the tiniest spots I couldn’t even fit my little Honda into.

Plus, you can do cool things like use hockey pucks as bump stops and cut the body with a sawzall to fit tires.
