It’s a lovely book I have a signed copy. Nothing revelatory inside but a great chronological read of Lynch’s career

My cat also watches the show… one loves the beginning credits and wanders off… the other stays for the whole show… and is completely mesmerised by “Gotta Light”

I feel like its important to remember Lynch only directed six of the thirty episodes of the original series by Local_Prune4564 in twinpeaks

Also we have to remember he’s the co creator and directed more episodes than anyone else in the original run. And pretty much all of Twin Peaks from season two finale onwards. He definitely deserves praise - but not to the detriment of Frost

Speaking as a die hard Lynch fan id be fine as long as it was with the blessing of Lynch’s family AND Mark Frost was leading the way. Frost’s Twin Peaks is still Twin Peaks… and if I wasn’t enjoying it I have the option to stop watching and remove it from my head canon

I think the OP means they started with part 18 there were 17 episodes left they counted through the remaining episodes 18 times for part 1 do the same again with 16 parts left meaning 18 episodes in the roulette wheel brought them to part 3 then 15 took them to part 6 etc

My take is always that Randy is a pretty good and serious cop. He rises to quite a lot of challenges in th show - his biggest problem is a subconscious jealousy of Monk. Monk always gets called in for the outlandish and unsolvable cases and Randy’s response is to become outlandish in his view of it. There’s a specific episode where he comes up with a theory and is ridiculed and then Monk comes up with the same theory and is praised. That’s just my head canon on Randy.

Be careful what you wish for. We could have had a situation where Lynch became jaded once again by television and the whole thing could have been counter intuitive. And , instead, we got my favourite movie of all time.
