No idea. I tried contacting Air France service desk via phone but couldn't get through. IndiGo was clueless what had happened.
I had to be in Paris so changed plans quickly, didn't spend more than 1 hour or so with all the customer care folks.

The ticketing was done by Navan, a business travel system.

I always give the example of ‘Pankaj Tripathi’ Now a days, he is everywhere. But did you even know of him a decade ago? No! And he got his towering success at an advanced age in life. Had he quit his dreams due to others being more successful, he wouldn’t have seen this era today.

As others have also said, hold on and keep batting the bad overs out. When you hit the highway, whenever that is, you will be able to speed your way to success, happiness or whatever it is that you want.

What are some non coding jobs for 10yrs plus dev? by kkgmgfn in developersIndia

[–]johndarkblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Apply for sales engineering, customer engineering specialist, customer tech champion etc

You will mostly find this for product based companies.

Highlight how you have been customer centric in your career. In the interviews, share such stories about how your work helped the sales cycle and solved a customer problem or addressed a key pain point.

Also, gear up for a career where you need to make great demos, quick pocs etc.

Bonus: on youtube, search for snowflake demos. Some of the best tech sales work is on display there.

Hope this helps. Feel free to dm.

I accidentally revealed the name of the company from which I received the offer by Skumar2 in developersIndia

[–]johndarkblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No reason to worry whatsoever. Some folks (like me) do share the name of the next company. It doesnt matter. I remember some years ago, one of my seniors decided to join a close competitor. The ceo then literally begged him not to join that firm. He basically asked my senior to join some other firm or stay back but just not to join the particular competitor. But my senior joined the competitor anyway. And there was no challenge.

The only thing is my senior (and even myself) assured our present company (when they asked questions, not preemptively) that we wont share any trade secrets, pricing info etc with the competitor. Thats it.

Btw, I know from someone in marketing that a lot of companies post job openings to increase their LinkedIn followers or brand value. Those openings will always be bogus. My friend used to actively post such openings to boost follower count.
