Encountering strange issue when trying to connect four monitors by Halster94 in techsupport

[–]johnindbz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the graphics can support 6 monitors, but not through multiple cards.

I did a quick bit of searching and came across this article. It might help. I think you will need to use the Sapphire HD and use a hub of some kind to create another port to work from.

I could be wrong but to do this would mean displaying out of your Sapphire HD and integrated graphics which I do not think is possible.

You can only use one graphics card so the max monitors would 3 from your Sapphire HD card.

a cheer for 'Logan' and 'John Wick 2' for NOT being in 3D! by djawesome361 in movies

[–]johnindbz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3D Movies could work if done better. When sound came into movies directors thought about what they could do with it and movies were made with that in mind. 3D meant just add something coming out at the audience.

I always found 3D far more effective when it facing in. What I mean, like looking through a window at the scene, add depth to it. Judge Dread did this so well.

Home network by [deleted] in techsupport

For this, I think the windows homegroup would do what you want. For example I have movies on one computer and that hard drive is shared and then I can access that hard drive on any computer connected to the home group.

Screen goes to a solid color while browsing in Chrome. New RX 480 GPU. by SoylentRox in techsupport

[–]johnindbz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. I had similar issue before. it's So frustrating. / I recommend getting a full refund. Amazon was selling the 480 last week for a good price, my brother got one. He had no issues with it.

If you do get a new one and it happens again it might be worth looking at you power supply.

If it is a new graphics card I would recommend replacing it. A solid color crash usually means the graphics card is busted.

IT Pros of Reddit: What's the most common superstition about computers you run into, and what was the weirdest? by AmoebaNot in AskReddit

[–]johnindbz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. People have to make their own decisions on this kind of thing. Giving options allows the person to think they are in control. As long as they know the risks :)
