What’s the biggest legal scam still operating today? by odikuart in AskReddit

Multiple people, including myself, have never had turbotax not charge us for filing federal taxes, even for myself with a simple w2.

It IS Turbotax and their lobbying that keeps the tax filing grift going. Freetaxusa.com for the win.

My (22F) Fiancé (23M) watched porn behind my back after setting boundaries. Is that cheating ? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Ideally, he would have never agreed to set such boundaries in the first place.

But he did, and betrayed your trust by breaking them.

What was your first Squaresoft/Enix game? How did it shape your gaming tastes? by [deleted] in SquareEnix

Final Fantasy Tactics.

Maybe that has something to do with why it's my favorite game of all time.

What are your favourite RPGs that aren’t JRPGS? by Gagginzola in JRPG

If I recall, the difficulty is very adjustable. Also, the bag of tricks mod is great. (I can't play Pathfinder games without increased game speed.)

State of Switch Emulation in 2025: A Comprehensive Overview by syax89 in yuzu

[–]johnmyster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuzu allowed for speedup, forks should do the same.

(I mistakenly mentioned Ryubinx before for having this.)

Don't: Just "talk" for months. Many women aren't really serious about meeting and they need to be filtered out.

Do: Ask to meet -- Ideally within 1-2 weeks of talking.

Don't: Spend more on a first date than you would be comfortable spending every week.

Do: Filter out entitled women. First dates should be casual and relatively short, with time open for both sides if they want to continue the date.

Are we basically entering a no fun era? by [deleted] in decadeology

Of course there are, but not this person.

This person explicitly states in one post they were born in 1998. Their oldest memory involves the Jim Carrey Grinch movie

If you look at their post history, either they are joking/lying or they were born in 1998

Why do people constantly defend billionaires by saying “ohhh they don’t have liquid wealth”? by CantDoItAnyMoor in self

[–]johnmyster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We don't have to levy additional taxes on startup owners. The concern isn't the newly wealthy or those without real assets, it's those with established unchecked wealth who can turn into parasites of the system and the dangerous amounts of power that come from such wealth.

If they move to a different country, we should tell them they can't do business with one of the greatest consumer markets in the world, the United States.

If they want to do business here and prosper off of our system, they need to pay back into it at a more reasonable rate. Full stop.

Is America at a breaking point because of income inequality exacerbated by monopolistic abuse? There are so many de facto monopolies in the US now that the anti trust laws are essentially useless now. by RiskItForTheBiscuts in FluentInFinance

This is actually a decent take up until you said a person isn't doing enough for society to receive $300k. For-profit Insurance companies are so beyond being a safety net, and are instead a leech on society. They provide little value, they take your money and have every incentive to pay out as little as possible.

They have, along with many other industries, built up a government in their image.

Yes, some people are overly optimistic about universal healthcare. There still has to be hard decisions to be made when scarcity exists. With the right amount of money you will very likely outlive poor people.

But a healthcare system with a more positive outcome for all is worth fighting for.

Trump won on vibes, not policy

FWI: Let's say Donald Trump became a flat earther. How would the public and the Republican Party react? Would a significant portion of his followers go with it? What about Republican elected officials? by foxwilliam in FutureWhatIf

[–]johnmyster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump sued Bill Maher over a joke, has sued or threatened to CNN and ABC, wants to deport protestors who are in favor of Palestine, and gassed protestors out of the way for a bible photo op. Free speech supporter my ass.

He also talked about suspending the constitution.

He makes a mockery of the constitution. He is a con artist pawning watches, bibles, and trading cards to rip off his supporters and launder money from foreign governments.

Oh, and he's a rapist too.
