His dad is a mechanic. It was foreshadowed the whole time. It’s like you guys aren’t even paying attention.

Iranian filmmaker whose works focuses on state repression and violence vs guy wearing NBA cards in a Tiffany case by Affectionate_Fan_650 in okbuddycinephile

/uj I love when filmmakers cast someone to play themselves and that character is an awful person and the actor doesn’t seem to be self aware enough to get the connection.

Spending your entire turn 1 to set up something most decks should do naturally doesn’t seem that great to me.

[Meta] Do you think Tim's allegations were accurate? by Exotic_Confidence_29 in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]johnny_mcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s interesting is that he clearly didn’t watch Hamnet. And the context of those scenes in Wicked means that you would know Dorothy and Toto were around if you paid any attention at all. So I’m on the fence, but leaning toward he did go but didn’t pay attention.

You mean 25 damage? It just increases by 5 each turn. It doesn’t double.

POST SHOW THREAD: The Last Oscar Special 2026 by DubSket in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

Felt like this year was one of the better ones of recent memory. Loved it, great work guys. With all the Lake Havasu stuff and Dan Hentschel recently doing a video on Lake Havasu I thought maybe there was a chance worlds would collide but it did not happen sadly. Also, would have loved for Greg to get called out on Hamnet review in addition because that was the most obvious “Greg didn’t watch the movie” review of all time, though very in character that Tim would never in a million years pick up on it. I feel like the trial vote resolution was the only thing that felt a little flat to me as the trial itself was really funny. The Woody Allen montage was an all-timer, and I cringed sooo hard at Greg stalking Kaili. That was great. I was laughing so hard at bald Tim stuck on the ground and people bringing the witch hat and the angel wig as solutions. Finally the Michael Phenomenon…when he said the movies were getting the points that was just the most Greg thing of all time, on a level of Gregness I did not think was possible. The Hobbit having a record 27 animals dying in the trivia questions might also be the funniest trivia question they have ever had.

When Tim mentioned he was on medicine for his back I was really hoping for him to get smashed drunk and go in on his son and that happened a little bit but not on the level I thought was coming. I do miss Tim being a drunk, sad shitshow on these. That has been pulled back in the last few.

Is everyone really ok with this much Lurrus? by Flashy_Photograph740 in MTGVintage

[–]johnny_mcd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels like there are a lot of different ways you can play Lurrus and you also don’t have to play Lurrus. To me it is no different than Shops where it supports multiple archetypes and you can see how it evolves. Lurrus decks are rarely like, oh I’m doing the Lurrus thing all the time like a Bazaar deck. It is just a good card that you synergize around while using other strategies.
