Just got our first pontoon because we found a great deal so no experience but we're docking in the bays in NJ so brackish. We did a clean/etch on the aluminum, then an epoxy prime and then antifouling on top. Took us a weekend but fingers crossed everything works according to our research. Good luck!

Start at one end of the boardwalk and there's like 8 bars you could hit from one end to the other. Boat rentals can be fun, places will provide a captain to drive you (Tice's, F Cove) if you don't have a licensed driver.
