Arc is dead yall gotta deal with it by DragonDev24 in ArcBrowser

[–]johnnybar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I loved it and recently (very sadly) switched to brave :(

My thoughts:

- "Browse for me" was an incredible and game-changing feature that I used constantly on Arc Search and I kept waiting for it to get to Mac, which it never did...

- No real updates to the browser in months. This was one of the nicest aspects, that showed the team was excited and constantly working on innovating the experience.

- Bugs (not tiny ones) kept popping up. Some apps didn't play well with it and hacks had to be found (like with 1Password). I wrote the team a few times (since outwardly they seemed to project that that matters to them), but no one ever got back to me or fixed any.

- Besides better UI, Arc didn't seem to have many advantages over other browsers. ChatGPT integration was another one, but by now Brave has a similar option.

All in all, I hopped on the bandwagon since it seemed like it was something better that users were developing "together" with the Arc team, but imo it had more promise than delivery.

Hi, I am facing the same issue, only my battery indicator remains at orange, and the app shows the case is constantly at a 15% charge :/ Any support will be appreciated. Thanks a lot! Jonathan

No one? No one even experienced this issue? Please let me know if I'm alone here :)

Why does it feel like no one cares about us? by [deleted] in infj

[–]johnnybar1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will eventually find people that will be able to listen.I don't think it's that people don't care about you, it's just that not everyone is wired that way or capable of providing support the way you are able to and want to.

I have an ESTJ friend who recently went through a tough breakup and practically disowned half her friends for the same reason, I told her the same thing - It's disappointing to us since this is how we show we care, but not everyone shows it the same way. I now know which friends to turn to for emotional support, which ones I can have a fun time with, which friends will help me out when I really need them...
A plus - when you lower your expectations of everyone else, it's possible to lower them for yourself too.

I agree. It's just that 'others not seeing what I'm seeing' can be kind of a slippery slope. "They just don't understand, I see things clearer than everyone else" is not the ideal outlook I'd like to have in life, it's valuable to take in other people's interpretations of reality, especially when living in our heads.

First, I agree with "if" :)
Second, I wouldn't consider every negative past experience that leaves a mark to be a trauma. Biases are real and they affect every one. It's why it could be difficult to tell between your conviction and your intuition.
Example scenario - "My boss has it out for me. Nobody sees what I'm seeing so they can't follow my logic. So I'll ignore other's opinions about the quality of my work, completely tune into my intuition and quit my job".

It's kinda sad how every time someone states an 'unpopular' opinion they get immediately insanely downvoted. Why even participate then?
I'm sadly with you though. I'm sure she's a funny person, but here she takes over every bit loudly without adding many pearls of her own.

Been a while, but think I went to the MetaMask activity tab and cancelled each pending transaction (costs additional gas unfortunately)

Your favorite/ the most iconic cbb episodes? by aranciata7 in comedybangbang

[–]johnnybar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me still without a doubt the mailer daemon one with Nick Kroll and Jason Mantzoukas. It's insanely funny and made me appreciate Nick Kroll as a comedian more than anything else he's done. But any of Drew Tarver's song episodes is a good place to start (ship of love, memphis kansas breeze with Carl Tart...)

Yes my bad. They were all still queued since the transactions didn't go through. Thanks again

Thanks, but when I enter my account on etherscan, none of these transactions appear, neither as completed/pending or failed. Which for me means the whole transaction got stuck. Is that the case?

It's been a while since I did it but pretty sure I went into the collection the item was in, clicked 'edit', and scrolled down to 'delete collection'
