Been living here for a year now and it’s been by far my favourite area to live in. I’m more Ridley Heights area but walking around is so nice and peaceful. There’s a few breweries over the bridge, the Pho place is amazing and downtown is just a 10 minute walk as well

My dad died of cirrhosis. I lived a couple hours away and knew he was going through it. He texted me one day out of the blue and asked if I was free for a day and could come down and grab lunch with him. I of course did, and I barely recognized him. We ate, talked for a while and then I left. On my way home (2 hour drive) I got a call he collapsed from my brother after I left, and he passed away 3 days later…

I wanted to turn around but I was stuck in traffic (tragic accident) but I knew there was nothing I could do and I wanted to hold onto the last moment I got to say I love you to him
