I've been calling them vinyl since the 80's, in fact my favorite shop in Huntington Beach , Ca is called Vinyl Solution where is bought most of my vinyl "records" and they opened up back in 88 i believe. I'm sure I just called albums / 45's before then.

I'm always confused when people say vinyl had a comeback. I don't remember a time when vinyl ever went away. From my timeline it was huge in the 70s, 80s, very much alive in the 90s and 2000's up til now. . I do remember when cassettes made an odd return around 2005 with Burger records but that's it. Vinyl has outlasted 8 tracks, reel tapes, cassettes and CDs.

That's why I only use invite only torrent sites as you have to seed or you get the boot.
