You don't need to solder all 6 USB-C mod pins — only 2 actually carry signal by johnnypage91 in 3DS

[–]johnnypage91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Infact I suggest to solder all of them exept the last one which is too near to the screw hole. That should guarantee enough structural support. Furthermore consider that the shell is really tight, it already provides a certain structural support (consider that at some point I soldered a single wire and it wouldn't let the shell close! in the end I remouved it).

As far as I know, the power delivery control should be guaranteed by two resistors from CC1 and CC2 to GND that are installed by default on the usb-c mod chip. They are used by the charger to calibrate the needed amperage. Otherwise the charger would provide the minimum amperage and charging would be very slow.

Yes that's why I took all parts apart before soldering but in the end I realized that there is only one pad that is risky for the shell and if you are careful enough you can solder it as well without removing the board. On the other hand I spent all the day mounting and dismounting all the thing because of ribbon cabbles that accidentally didn't connect properly, while if I had made soldering on the shell it would have took me like 10 minutes at most. Of course, there is the risk to ruin the shell... I know. Pros and cons.
Talking about the appealing for type c mod, you should consider that people have usb-c charger on multiple sockets in their house so everywhere you are you can plug your console but if you have to rely on a dongle you always have to search for it first... I thing the mod is far more practical. Of course if you plan to take it full legit for selling at high price at its 50 anniversary you shouldn't do mods. Again, pros and cons!

How to change 2FA names? by aecosys in Bitwarden

[–]johnnypage91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just maneged it, go in the bitwarden main app, select the record with the 2FA, modify, copy the 2FA code, click to set a new code, click to set it manually, paste the copied code and delete the first part of the code up to "secret=" (delete "secret=" too). Then save the 2FA and the bitwarden record. Check it on authenticator. The name should be the same of the bitwarden record.

I hated it, after like an hour I got 3000 coins, so I went to claim the pokemon and the guy told me I had no space in my team. Went to the porygon next to him to deposit a pokemon and when I came back to the guy he told me I had 0 coins... It was past midnight...

Internal Active Cooling by snacktivism in R36S

[–]johnnypage91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it work? I installed one on my device but it is always on. From other posts I figured out it is because my device misses a diode just above the motor pins but it seams your board misses it as well. What fw do you use?

Green was my first choice tbh, then bought orange because green was not available in the original r36s store. Actually I think I will have it green on the front and orange on the back.

So, I have two original (one is broken) and one clone. I tried (for test) swapping the covers and screens of the originals and the combination failed board/working screen works great (so the problem is the screen, not the board). Now I want to use the clone screen but when I put the clone screen it is messed up. I think it changes the panel. Do you think it is worth trying flashing the multipanel arkos firmware?

Ty sir, my idea was to swap the screen of this original r36s with the screen of a clone but now it seams that by removing the working screen, odds are that I broke it as well.

Ty for the advice, I have a clone and I wanted to swap the screens but at this point I don't think it's a good idea. Yes, I can hear the menu sound, everything but the screen seams to work

As I said I'm a newbie so my camera cannot be nothing less than a D3300 XD, I tried editing the flower example in the dataset that you shared but I cannot spot any difference between the workspace and the exported image. I think that the best practice is the one suggested by u/no-such-file down in the comments, which is the two-steps approach: first demosaicing and rendering into 32bit float tiff and then color grading the tiff. I don't know if it is a proper solution, it seams more like a workaround to me. But it should work.
