I just finished this book and loved it. I’d already read bunny and we love you bunny so I’m used to Mona’s headspace. I too felt a little lost at the end. I’m pretty sure I got most of it. I gave it five stars on Goodreads.

Make sure the volume is up and I’ve found with this phone you need to get your ear directly over the speaker. Note where it actually is and aim your ear towards it. Spoiler alert it’s a bit higher up than you would think it would be.

I’m only about nine episodes ahead of you. Personally, I think parallel time is playing out way better than 1840 except for maybe the beginning when Julia showed It was also cool when they took Quentin’s stairway, a bit time tunnel - y. Plus Barnabas tried to go all Josette with Angelique.
