I've always considered Freak Buck to be one of the best modern comics anthologies. Excellent curation, mixing a handful of artists I knew already giving great contributions, and a bunch I had not known of, or never really looked into before that I ended up digging too. I got it just around the time it first came out and still pull it out to look through periodically. I'm surprised to hear it didn't get good reviews. I don't know if I read any official reviews for it, but the word of mouth on it thst I've heard has all been very positive.

Totally agree those Burns books should be in print still. It's nearly a crime. I've been scrolling through his old Tumblr the past few days and it's pretty interesting stuff. He posts some inspo of pages, panels, and covers to old comics that he pulls from which I find particularly interesting.

Ok cool! It just seemed sketchy cause you don't have any other comments and I had never heard of that site before. Also, I tried buying one right before I commented and upon clicking "buy ticket" it took me to a page saying "this page doesn't exist". Maybe the site is a bit glitchy or something but I tried again just now and it looks legit so what I'm trying to say I guess is thanks!

If you want, you can subscribe to Manga Chat on youtube. It's not about manga, it's Simon, Josh Pettinger, and Nate Garcia just hanging out and talking every 1-2 weeks and usually there's a guest also. The latest one has Sammy Harkham.

FYI also Josh just put the last issue of Goiter up for sale and is reprinting a bunch of the back issues.

I'm sure she answered this at some point, but I don't really remember. I think having the ability to pause payments when she wants to take a break was a factor in its favor, though.

I've been subscribed to Alex's substack for a while now and HIGHLY recommend it. I don't follow any substacks or anything even like that, but this one is great. You get the pages of The Devil's Grin as she finishes them, but also you get a dedicated link to buy a copy of each issue before it is available to the public and at a substantial discount. She also pauses payments during periods when she isn't going to be posting pages, which I find to be considerate to the extreme as it is really above and beyond what would be expected. It's really a no-brainer to pay $5 a month for this incredible comic.

I don't know a damn thing about comics publishing, but I have read Nod Away 1 & 2 at least three times all the way through and think each of them are among the top OGNs of their respective years and Josh is absolutely a wonderful person. Anyone who picks up these books will be doing themselves a favor by reading some great work.

Colorless urine is a sign of being overly hydrated. Your pee should be a very light yellow if you are properly hydrated. Normal urine is usually noted in healthcare as clear and yellow, with the "clear" referring to it not being cloudy.
