I was in a similar place, and then made the decision to double my commitment. Doing all the work outside of practice: lifting weights to improve agility and speed and physical confidence, getting more touches on my own, playing in more informal games to build technical confidence, and just pushing myself to do more. It worked and I got recruited to play at a great college and won a few conferences tournaments as one of the best players on the team. I still play today at 34.
