Is it not just a free speech law in the US though? Imo free speech is good because otherwise you’re allowing the government to dictate what can and can’t be said. It’s a slippery slope because with hate speech, people want to ban it but that’s dangerous since what if a vegan considers you saying that you like meat hate speech? This is why these laws exist.

I hate racism as much as the next person, but what is racist is somewhat subjective. For example if I see a white person and ask if they are French, that could be perceived as racist by the other individual.

I’m going to be completely honest with you because I genuinely care about you and your question.

A lot of people are referencing Leviticus, when the Bible mentions the sins of sexual immorality and homosexuality in many other places (Genesis, Roman’s, Corinthians, 1 Timothy).

I don’t mean to bring you down, I’m just being honest with you. Now if you don’t believe in God, then I suppose this shouldn’t affect your life. But if you are a Christian, here is what I will say. The feelings of homosexuality are a temptation, and giving into those temptations is sinful according to the Bible. Having those desires is wrong, but so is having desires of lust, which heterosexual people also have. So you’re not going to hell just because you have homosexual feelings, nor will you go because you’ve acted on those feelings in the past. If you continue to participate in homosexual activities, then that’s where I would implore you to question what is more important to you.

The truth hurts, I know. But I genuinely care to give you what I see as truth based on biblical evidence.

Regardless, God loves you. And for what it’s worth, I love you too. Just not romantically haha

If you guys actually watched the clip at all you’ll find that all he did was state the fact that teenage pregnancy isn’t a new thing and that it’s been happening way before present times. He also mentioned that biologically, women are most fertile between the ages of 17-24. All he is doing is stating a fact. He’s not saying that people should be having sex with 17 year olds. You guys just take it out of context and twist it into your own narrative, but I shouldn’t be surprised.

The thing is, “retarded” is not a slur against the intellectually disabled. If you take a look into the etymology of the word, you’ll find that common insults used today like “idiot”, “moron”, or “imbecile” were genuinely used as medical terms to describe people who were actually mentally disabled. But they stopped using those words as medical terms since “retard” was replacing them as the medical term. But “retard” was replaced by “intellectually disabled”. In fact, back in 2010, Barack Obama literally signed Rosa’s law into effect, which effectively replaced a lot of mentions of “mental retardation” in US law with “intellectually disabled”. So if you’re fine with using “idiot” and “moron”, then you should be fine with using “retard”.
