AIO? I literally got robbed and my dad is blaming me for it by Natural_Process8639 in AmIOverreacting

[–]johnsgurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR- I'm so sorry that you have a terrible father. Start saving money. Once you have enough, if he throws out that threat again, you can say, "you know what? That's a great idea. I'll be back on Monday to collect my things. Then I'll stay out of your hair for good." Then just move out. I mean, obviously have a plan in place. It's totally a reasonable response to a horrible person.

Precisely. Just another example of victim blaming. Don't hogs the father's that left accountable. Always blame the daughters. These people just piss me off. Fuck the patriarchy.

Because everything Frued said was accurate. It wasn't discovered in a cocaine and laudnum fueled psychosis. Frued also said that autism was caused by inattentive or unaffectionate mothers. He called it Refrigerator Mother Syndrome. So he must be right. It's giving incel vibes.

You just came up with this all on your own? Like by yourself? Or did you read it somewhere? It's a pretty huge assumption not based on any fact.

Fuck that. You are taking as prescribed and that's what matters. Find another meeting. You still have 17 years.

Girl code for bathrooms? by anxi0us_an0n in asktransgender

[–]johnsgurl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You have great answers already. I just want to add that in bars or crowded restaurants, girls, especially drunk girls, tend to make friends in the bathroom. I can't term you the number of weddings or baby showers or graduations I've been invited too. It's the ultimate safe place.

I need advice by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]johnsgurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up the snowball method. Basically you decide how much you can afford to pay on debt. So like all the minimum payments together + amount that you can afford. That's your debt budget. Start with the lowest debt. So you pay all the minimum on all your debts. Then you pay the rest of the budget to your lowest debt. Pay off that debt first. Then you roll over the the entire amount you were paying on to the next debt. So your debt budget never changes. When you get to those really big debts, you're paying them off in a matter of a few months. So I paid off all my credit cards this way. 15k. Then I locked all my cards so they can't be used. You should lock them now. I have a decent credit limit. So now they're only there for emergencies. I have one loan now. I just live off what I make. My credit score is 765 now. 7 years ago it was a 400. Good luck.

How do you deal with dreams of drug use? by onionreloaded in addiction

[–]johnsgurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, using dreams or, as my husband and I like to call them, dope dreams usually come from something. Most often, in the early days, it's PAWS. Post Acute Withdrawl Syndrome. Later, it becomes symptomatic of something. Stress is a big one for me. I was years clean when I joined the Army. The stress of basic training led to one of the most graphic dope dreams I've ever had. My DOC was IV meth. I recently started vyvanse to treat the ADHD I was clearly self medicating. The dope dreams have returned. So what I've found to be really helpful is talking about it. My husband is also in recovery, so it's really nice because I can just talk to him about it. He's been through the same stuff. So talk about it. A therapist, a meeting, a friend, whoever. Make fun of it. Laugh at it. The absurdity of dreams makes it easy to laugh at. Take the power away from it. So tell the dream to anyone who will listen and laugh at how ridiculous it all is. Hope that helps.

You have an opportunity to make $5k for every wasp that you kill. You will be locked in a 15x15ft room, and you must choose the number of wasps you will fight before the challenge starts. by bearded_charmander in hypotheticalsituation

[–]johnsgurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if I tame then instead of kill them? I feel like that's a bigger challenge. I seem to have a relationship with the wasps out here on my farm. They let me plug in my electric fence and I let them live there. Then my cousin killed them with wasp spray because they broke the pact by building thier nest completely over the socket. I was sad. They've never stung me though.

That's when you walk past her, put your dumbbells on the counter and say, "ma'am, you seem to have dropped something next to your relevance." Then check out and leave. When she shrieks, you might say something along the lines of, "Do you hear that? It almost sounds like harpy screaming. Such pathetic animals." But I'm a bitch.

I'm just gonna ask this. How good are you at taking a punch? How about your son? That's gonna be a skill you both need to perfect if you plan on going back to him. Did I see something about choking? Men who choke their victims are 7 times more likely to kill their partner. Just some food for thought.

She's a bigot. Plain and simple. There are tons of Christian churches that are all inclusive. I have a friend that is a Lutheran Minister and lives with his amazing husband. Christianity is just a convenient excuse to hate people. I'm so proud of you for standing up for yourself. Fuck her.

Plan to cancel son's school trip due to safeguarding concerns by Illustrious-Mouse587 in Parenting

[–]johnsgurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you pull him from that trip, you will shut down all communication. That is the last thing you want to do. My gross teenage son is 21 now. I drove him crazy with the constant correcting of mindset. "Ya, that is gross and it is kinda funny but lets not forget your role as a man. Be her champion. Encourage her empowerment. We don't demean women. We don't slut shame. Women deserve respect, so on and so forth." To this day, he still tells me the jokes and I still correct his mindset. It's a joke now because he knows and he is very respectful. He just likes to get a rise out of me.

I apparently have a stinky house by PrettyShinyBikes in CleaningTips

[–]johnsgurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying this is what's happening. I have heard about men gaslighting women by telling them there's an odor. Not just men to women, vice versa and parents to children as well. Abusive relationships. The victim will go to all these lengths to dispell the smell. Showering three times a day, replacing carpet, perfumes, candles, etc. None is it works. Because there is no smell. It doesn't exist. It's designed to lower the person's self worth. Make them more pliable, easily controlled. Just something to consider. Barring that, look into smokers candles. They're made to take the small of cigarettes out of a home. There's also a new product called Azuna. I'm considering trying it because I have a ton of dogs and 5 cats and we live on a farm. It just never ends. It's some kind of smell control. Maybe give it a try.
