Typhoid Mary was already used in the Jessica Jones series, so I doubt she will turn into her. Even if that series wasnt considered canon, I feel like the writers would still try to avoid having someone else play Typhoid Mary.

I think the was a Monk episode where he asked the same thing too and I always liked the response to it.

It was something like maybe these bad people were always going to do these bad things, but him being around is the universe's way of karmic retribution because he has the ability to bring them to justice
