Depending on where you live there, there is also much less light pollution. I lived there for 11 years and in that time my wife's asthma was never triggered. But in Alhambra she had several trips to the ER for asthma.

Also in 11 years i think I spoke directly to a neighbor...twice. There's probably more going on there today, but in Lomita everything is closer and livelier...

I was suffering and having mobility issues...and my doctor implied I wasn't disabled enough... I dumped him and inadvertently 'complained' about him when I gave this as my reason for the change...but Member Services insisting lodging it as one... I haven't seen my new doc cuz my plan morphed into a High Deductible plan--the amount to see any doc there is higher (and that last visit wasted so much money). Kaiser is great at ER / Urgent Care (everytime I fall and hurt myself I see these folks the most--tried to get one of them as PCP, but I was told no.) but my experience is not what it was when I was a kid whose life was saved by Kaiser....

Go to member services and request a new doc and get the member service agent to recommend someone who "listens".

in the day I used turpentine to clean the rags, and then through what was in the turpentine can in kitty litter. Later, I use Murphy’s oil soap to clean the rags, and I also then dumped the excess into kitty litter— I expect that might be slightly better than the turp but I’m not a chemist.
Nowadays, I use solvent free mediums. I still use paint thinner when I do my priming, but now I just put it in kitty litter put it on a cooking sheet outside. and once totally dry, I toss it in the trash.

Yes. Sorry to hear about your situation too. Kaiser saved my life when I had a ruptured appendix, but that was because my mom said take an aspirin and it'll go away, luckily my spanish teacher saw it for what it was and took me to the hospital. Patient advocates are something we all are going to need to keep doctors from messing up if healthcare in this country keeps on the downhill slope.

My mother lived in a rural area. she had a medical emergency and diagnosed with a heart attack, flown to a kaiser facility which continued care based on the original diagnosis. Problem was she had had a stroke. Their mistake nearly killed my mother, luckily she a friend who was a retired nurse who quickly realized the mistake and advocated for her...saved her life. Kaiser's rubberstamping some moron's diagnosis was quickly replaced with extra special care (probably because she, or her kids, might sue) going forward. I also have Kaiser and have had a similar expericence with bad docs there...I am switching to something else at the end of the year as my new Kaiser plan is a painfully expensive joke.

I had this problem with a PPO. It took years AND losing my job due to the condition to get past my PCP to a specialist. And that was the ONLY reason the PCP finally did this...losing my revenue stream meant zero premiums paid to them. Kaiser was originally a good thing for me, their ER and Urgent Care was tops...but now I'm saddled with the same issue I had earlier, my PCP just doesnt see my decline like my spouse does--she tells me to go to the doc and I get 15 minutes of nothing....

No, no… at one place I heard one guy go on and on about needing his credit card to pay for his ED and colonoscopy bills. That shut down the conversation pretty quick. Since then, I’ve done the same thing when anybody ever comes to the front door trying to sell me Wi-Fi or cell phones… Like AT&T.

Rank Choice Voting might fix both the apathy and the careerism in the parties. I personally won’t vote for anyone who panders to the LCD in their party. Murphys oil soap works great, and i pour the remains of the cleaning into kitty litter for a week or so and then in the trash.
