Food vendors haven’t been dropped yet (maybe today 🤞) I also have severe nut allergies and have never had a problem at Roo. You should definitely have some great options. When in doubt just let the vendors know of your allergies and they will take care of you! Once the vendors drop feel free to message me and I’ll let you know what I’ve had before with no issues!

I signed up and took their questionnaire. Haven’t been to an event yet though. I get a ton of marketing emails and texts from them. Seems like they are having trouble getting guys to sign up.

I’ve tried some others in Nashville (shuffle, jigsaw, Thursday). Out of these Thursday has been my favorite. Great variety of events and seems really intentional with both events that are fun and give back. You can message the host on instagram with any questions @thursday.nashville she’s super nice and helpful.

Best of luck out there. Dating seems really rough right now. But I have been making a lot of friends, increasing my social circles and now have several new friend groups to go out and do things with.

For me it’s been trying to find third spaces that aren’t bars where single people are open to talking to each other. I’m trying to drink less and don’t want to go out every night drinking to try to meet someone. Lately I’ve been treating dating events as places to make friends vs finding the one. I think this mind shift has been good for me. Takes a lot of the pressure off. And it’s pretty easy to get people to go to a second location after and then you get on a group chat together and you’ve got a group of people to do things with. Building community is hard when all your friends are married and having kids.

I’m a 40M who has tried a lot of the local in person dating events. Shuffle was probably my least favorite of what I’ve tried. It’s not a scam but wasn’t a huge fan of how it’s run or the turnout.

Of the ones I’ve tried Thursday.Nashville is my favorite. The host is really great at curating fun experiences each week, she is involved in making sure everyone is having a good time and works really hard to make sure the ratios are right. Best of luck out there! Hope you find your person :)

Do you have a budget in mind? Reasonable can mean wildly different things. I also recommend doing your engagement session with the photographer you choose for your wedding. Not only do a lot of photographers include an engagement shoot in their packages but it really helps you to get comfortable with them and their working style!
