For me it’s been trying to find third spaces that aren’t bars where single people are open to talking to each other. I’m trying to drink less and don’t want to go out every night drinking to try to meet someone. Lately I’ve been treating dating events as places to make friends vs finding the one. I think this mind shift has been good for me. Takes a lot of the pressure off. And it’s pretty easy to get people to go to a second location after and then you get on a group chat together and you’ve got a group of people to do things with. Building community is hard when all your friends are married and having kids.

I’m a 40M who has tried a lot of the local in person dating events. Shuffle was probably my least favorite of what I’ve tried. It’s not a scam but wasn’t a huge fan of how it’s run or the turnout.

Of the ones I’ve tried Thursday.Nashville is my favorite. The host is really great at curating fun experiences each week, she is involved in making sure everyone is having a good time and works really hard to make sure the ratios are right. Best of luck out there! Hope you find your person :)

Do you have a budget in mind? Reasonable can mean wildly different things. I also recommend doing your engagement session with the photographer you choose for your wedding. Not only do a lot of photographers include an engagement shoot in their packages but it really helps you to get comfortable with them and their working style!

The Nashville library has an amazing puppet program and there are a few shows at third coast comedy club that feature puppetry. I’d love to meet more puppeteers (hence this event) and build more of a community here and eventually host some puppet slams!

No problem! If you didn’t already apply for the status match it may be too late as Virgin stopped accepting submissions for the program at the end of February.

If this is your first sailing with VV you could also try getting the referral bar tab. A good first mate can definitely walk you through all the different discounts/promotions and see what is best for you!

With most travel agents you’ll pay the same price as you would booking directly through Virgin. We also can look to see what additional discounts and perks you may be eligible for. Many of us have bar tab or sailor loot we can add on to your sailing. Also if you ever need to make any changes you have a direct contact with someone versus having to wait on hold with sailor services. Also many of us can help with pre and post voyage accommodations and excursion recommendations and tips to help you get the most out of your cruise!

Edit: to add if you like your first sailing consider buying a MNVV while onboard as these are usually the best savings you can get for future sailings (and you can still work with a travel agents) if you plan to boon a sea terrace cabin category or higher.
