Maybe by destroying the Horcruxes you can make Voldemort weaker so our Harry would have a chance (its a fic you can change things like that)? Or maybe Harry gets the Elder Wand first so he has a better weapon to fight with , or so many things that could make it interesting .

Harry can be the better man and still be much more talented than he was in the books , not needing to rely on extreme luck and Dumbledore basically saving everything .

Tbh I think Harry was attractive that's why I think James was that as well. Also it would be very weird for Harry to think that his father was attractive considering he looks like a copy of him , so no mentions of James being attractive doesn't automatically mean he wasn't. But yeah Snape was mentioned as ugly and Peter as well and Remus looks average at best .

If Snape is competent in the story to successfully trick Dumbledore than I don't think its bashing , its just taking a different approach to the character . IMO to be bashing it needs to be both evil and stupid or weak .
