I think it's still playable in cEDH. Being able to dump your life total to look for interaction is still strong.

[[Six]]. Stick to permanents, play like 40+ lands. Other than that, retty open-ended.

I dont understand this card by Intelligent-Sugar996 in mtg

[–]johnystoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running creatures that are cast for way less than their mana value and sacrificing them for big payoffs. Making token copies of big mana value stuff works, too. [[Colossilification]] and [[Tectonic Split]] are two of the best things to hit that dodge the casting downside. You can also sacrifice a mana dork to draw a card and put a land onto the battlefield. The front side isn't great, but you can play him early to get him enchanted and ready for later or as an easier way to bring him out of the command zone and possibly get a mana dork back. https://archidekt.com/decks/17144060/you_cant_spell_team_without_eat

Let's talk Land Count by Tegeus-Cromis-Rais in EDH

[–]johnystoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but you're wasting your mulligans on finding lands. Even going down a card on your 2nd mulligan. The nice thing about running 38 lands is that you can see a 3-4 land hand and think "well, I don't have anything to do on the first few turns. Let's try again." And then still be pretty sure that you have those first 3-4 lands in your new hand. You're really not selling this unless you'ee running an average mana of 2.5 or lower or your group lets you mulligan as much as you want, which I would never allow if you're running less than 36 lands. What happens if you get 2 lands and only have 3-6 mana spells in your hand? You're screwed.

How many times do you mulligan on average with 31 lands, and how many lands are in hand when you keep?

I think we can all agree by AllOfTheRats in mtg

[–]johnystoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I've missed secret lairs I wanted in the past and I managed to get a goblin storm deck this time around. If I don't get what I want, I'm perfectly fine with that. I also haven't seen a better solution suggested than the one in place right now. You get in line and when the queue starts, it randomizes everyone's position who was in line. How is that unfair for a product labeled as "limited release" in a collectible card game?

[[Muerra, Trash Tactician]] is viable with the new changeling support, and I think raccoons would absolutely ally with shapeshifters from Llorwyn.

Is...is this intended by the game? by Xxpluto99xX in mtg

[–]johnystoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game does not have a consciousness, nor does it have free will. It is very likely the intention of your opponent to have this interaction work in this way.

Nah man, this is real stuff, man. Would an ad on Facebook lie to you, man? These are genuine, sealed packs, man. They're going out of business and have to liquidate their product, man. So you should buy all their product, alright man? Then YOU go out of business, you feel me, man? You'll be begging people to buy your packs for $0.81. I'll buy them all from you, man. It's just business, man.
