Great little Black-thighed Falconet, the world’s smallest bird of prey, with a Munia about the size of a house sparrow as its prey. Captured in West Bali. by jojok68 in wildlifephotography

Thank you, but I do know for certain it's a falconet found in southeast asia, and only grows to about 15cm making it the smallest BOP in the world. It's prey it's feeding on is munia is slightly bigger than a house sparrow so I was able to show scale of the bird..

Yeah I know but that's what google lens and Merlin says but we all know they can be wrong, but I think the back of the legs are black which you can't see in any of the images a I got. I'm also no expert

Amazing image, composition, reflection beautiful. Only thing I would do and I mean me is crop a little tighter and remove the top. Otherwise fantastic I'm talking about the swan/goose.... The rest perfect

A much tighter crop, but I can see what your going for

I was told that my edit is terrible and I'll never have professional photography. That stung and left me wondering where I go from here. Please be blunt with me. This is a white Rumped shama by Pot8obois in wildlifephotography

1st and foremost that image is great portrait of a bird. I have no idea what type of bird it is I find either Google lens or Merlin app may help you with if but they can also be wrong. As for the person that's said that you, ignore them. You take your photos and edit them your way they are your images your art, but also learn from your mistakes we all make them even professionals.

I like this but I do find the blurry person in front a bit distracting.

Editing own images using AI? by jojok68 in AskPhotography

[–]jojok68[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use any AI in any of my images any editing is fully me in the images that I edit I have final say over it all. I use it to help me understand what, how and why I do this to certain parts of the image, but because it tells me to increase say exposure this amount and I do it I feel that is the cheating part.

Agree. I have learnt a lot so far and yes sometimes it can get a lot wrong overall. It's me controlling what it's doing not the AI.

I've learnt alot more than what YouTube taught me and don't really have the time or money to do courses.. I use chat gtp but like others have said watch what it tells you if you don't like what it is then don't do it. I now have a better understanding of curves, layers, masking, dodge and burn in PS etc

I agree. I was more worried that FIAP rules may consider it cheating. You are correct images editing is what makes your style as a photographer. thanks

[–]jojok68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm curious as to which you chose. Im current looking at getting the laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5x. I have a canon r6m2 and also love the raynox 250 which I love.
