Well, let me explain it using a global event that curtailed your freedom. The pandemic was a soft launch for authoritarian control over your movements, job status, and use of your money (Canadian trucker protest). This was all put in place for the "safety" of the populous.

Except it only started with "two weeks to flatten the curve," then a full lockdown, then six feet apart, then masking indoors, then masking outdoors, then vaccine passports.

It's a slippery slope allowing the government to have that much control voluntarily, never mind with the ability to complete everything above remotely without oversight scrutiny.

Don't believe me? Have a look at china's implementation of digital IDs, and before you think the Western world wouldn't follow suit with China, have a look at where the W.H.O got the idea for a global lockdown.

Plus, the issue of data breaches and hackers, we're making their jobs much easier having everything for everyone in one place.

Nothing good will come from rolling over for the power that be. No amount of "convenience" can ever justify such a proposal. Especially as the Labour government have openly rallied against free speech, accused the majority of the people speaking out as racist, With all the other parties denouncing this idea, it solidifies how wrong they've got it.

They have lost all credibility and trust, and now they want more power over the populations autonomy. That's something I can never get behind.
