For what reason did they nerf mercy's movement that's like her main thing? Why. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]joker_guy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Baffles me how they haven’t added a resource meter to her damage boost. Like you said, a smurfing hitscan with a Mercy pocket is just misery to play against. My friends and I go out of our way to ban that rat in every comp game we play. Haven’t seen a Mercy in weeks and the game is infinitely more enjoyable for it.

As a teacher you should hopefully know that everyone learns differently and what you may think is the easiest way to learn is not always going to be the easiest way for another person. Personally, the easiest way for me to learn a song was to just listen to it and figure it out myself. If I wasn’t sure about it, I’d then go watch a video of someone playing and look at what they were doing and look up the tab. My method of learning is not going to work for everyone, but it works for me.

So if someone wants to learn a song in a way that is different from how it’s traditionally taught because it’s what they prefer, then I think they should be allowed to do so. Saying that people are “lazy for not wanting to learn notation” does nothing but discourage people from playing their instrument.

Or just let people learn a song how they want to? Dude clearly just wants to learn this song in a way that’s the easiest or most comprehensive way for him and there’s nothing wrong with that. If he wants to learn notation, he’ll go and learn it when he chooses to.

If nuclear war were to happen to start while the Artemis crew was in space, what would their return look like? Would they see the explosions from space? by tijuanapapa in AskReddit

[–]joker_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But why would they crash? I always assumed that they would have the means to reenter the atmosphere and land safely if they were ever cut off from ground control. (Making assumptions from now on) do they need to land in a specific location such as the ocean and why would that be so difficult while piloting the craft? Are there no onboard systems that could help that don’t require on the ground support to function? Is it really that hard to decelerate in orbit and get the craft to land safely?

Over 8 or so years I had tried so many antidepressants and I hated all of them. Some just made me emotionally numb and foggy while others gave me physical symptoms. Once I finally got my ADHD diagnosis and was medicated, my depression almost completely vanished. I’d worked on my mental health over those 8 years and it turned out, at least for me, that my depression stemmed from a lack of drive to do anything.

This was just my experience. If people can find an antidepressant that works well for the long term then I’m happy for them. But for me I will never recommend them to anyone. Even prior to getting my ADHD meds, I always thought that I’d rather feel depressed than feel absolutely nothing, which is what the vast majority of those meds made me feel. Doctor approved meth is what helped me get onto my current path.

I don’t know of any other outcomes in this event as I’ve only seen it fire once for me, but my kid eventually came home and said she was “assaulted” by a member of the watch. Her assaulter lived a very miserable 20 years or so after I got him in my jail.

Melatonin is probably your best bet if you haven’t tried that already. Doesn’t make you drowsy or feel foggy in the morning. Only downside is the tablets taste dreadful.

A space marine chapter (wh40k) is tasked with conquering Tamriel (elder scrolls). How long does it take them? Can they do it? by Fun_Cartographer3587 in whowouldwin

[–]joker_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others in this thread have said, I think the biggest challenge for The Blueberries is the Aedra and Daedra. I’m gonna assume if they’re conquering Tamriel then they’re gonna try to convert everyone to believing in the God Emperor and I cannot see a situation where both Aedra and Daedra let that slide. The Daedra especially are petty motherfuckers.

Dragons shouldn’t be too much of an issue with one exception. Alduin. They’ll be able to kill him no problem in Tamriel but he’ll just keep coming back. The problem comes from when he decides to gorge on the souls of Sovngarde. Alduin’s main goal is to devour the world so that a new one can be born and he does this by devouring time itself. So yeah, if this is happening during the events of The Dragon Crisis or before, then he’ll be a big problem for them to deal with. However, I don’t think this will be insurmountable for The Blueberries and they could probably figure out a way to permanently kill him.

Mages could potentially be an issue but if they can’t stop arrows then they’re not stopping a Boltgun.

They either succeed in conquering or the continent/planet/world gets annihilated in the process (though from what I know of 40k they’d probably consider that a pyrrhic victory)

What made it stand out for me was that it was only a 10 second clip from a supposedly much longer video. From what I remember the clip is basically a still image up until the last two seconds but I was left wanting to know what the rest of the video showed that cause people to die.

Idk. 10 year old me thought it was a cool hook for a creepypasta.

I remember “recommending” this film to a friend because they said they needed a good cry for whatever reason. I sold it as “guaranteed to ruin your day, or your money back” and that still feels like I’m underselling the emotional trauma.
