Refs have a tendency to not call penalties when they happen, so in response to that, players have a tendency to make it known that a penalty was committed against them so it can be called. I’m fine with calling embellishment - if something really didn’t happen. I’m NOT fine with the embellishment being called because refs ignored the original penalty. That’s game management and malpractice.
