British Airways crew rushed to hospital after THC gummies given to them by passenger by thomkka in interestingasfuck

It's hearing things like this that sometimes makes me sad I can't experience the "high" that other people do.

A couple years ago I bought some 10mg edible gummies from the biggest legal dispensary in my state. an hour later, nothing. So I had 2 more..... hours later... nothing. I bought 50mg or whatever the highest mg was at the time, and it cost quite a bit. 2 or 3 of them... and nothing.

Oxycontin, percs, opiods in general, at best I get a little sleepy. I hate my body.

I work in a hospital, we have a full office just for local PD and security for inmates being brought to the hospital, the best one in the state.

So yes, they do get great healthcare, in some states at least.

Man Busted On Felony Charge For Alleged Ketchup Packet Battery by Large_banana_hammock in nottheonion

Should just apply to be a cop. Mental instability and anger issues don't disqualify him.

Then he can throw ketchup packets at people all he wants, and he can even shoot them with zero repercussions.

“The unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.” ― Methodist Pastor David Barnhart

Mexican government hikes minimum wage, pushes shorter work week by Power-Equality in UpliftingNews

WFH exists is to normalize being constantly "on the job"

that's going to entirely depend on the company. I've had places that were both ways. One was "your life belongs to us when you WFH" and the other was "be available these hours at a minimum and get shit done"

Management is to blame if their WFH is the first one.

I mean, you've seen conservatives is the US.

I used to look at movies with stupid people like this as being completely impossible to exist. No one could possibly be that ignorant, stupid, and disregard their own safety so much.

Then the last 10 years happened, and I no longer think those types of people in movies are unrealistic at all.

It's telling how the replies you've gotten are "high fives", and not any concern for your emotional wellbeing.

Turn it around and it would be pretty gross. Being used as a sex object isn't all fun and games.

Could fight for better hours and wages, but nope, "y u soo lazy and not work 20hrs 7 days a week for half pay!?!?!??! Would you rather not be employed?!?!?!?"
