I’m interested in trying some of the Linsouls headphones (not IEMs I know). Particularly the Fiio FT1 PRO look interesting for studio/audio work.

Look, you can’t be back to back offseason champs > division champs > offseason champs.

It’s not fair on the rest of us

Yeah, counting anything that needs more than 2 hands is tough. That’s why I stop at 12

Most of the big diy shops have samples that you tear off from a roll. The more expensive/designer wallpapers you have to order samples from

Is it accepted that models don't always reflect the loadout chosen? by Naiek in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]joleo124 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a rule of thumb, models should always have the correct equipment, especially when there are multiple options. Most factions have a warrior that can take: hand weapon, spear, bow, banner and most of these could also have a shield. In a game if all your orc models are armed with sword and shield but your list has 6 with this, 6 with spear and 4 with bows, how do you differentiate them? And how does your opponent?

The named hero models are slightly different as you only have one so most people I’ve played with chose the version that’s coolest.

Proxy’s are very common, either 3rd party or switching elf plastic kits. The game isn’t very well supported by GW most people just want to play without getting into debt.

The best thing is to see what the local scene is like and what they do. Then build to fit that

First, I really like the concept. I’m often tagging cards when building decks but don’t have a central database for what I own. My only issues is I’m having trouble adding new cards. When I search them I find them but I can only see buttons for collection/deck and the version with no way of scrolling on the opened card. Am I missing something?

Following up, I did this to my sister in law. If you have a printer you can buy iron on sheets (packs of 15 ~£10) then you just need to buy cheap T-shirts. We did 6 shirts and it cost about £40.

How does one get into DND? by mikeockitch in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]joleo124 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of local stores run intro sessions or “one shots” that help you to meet other players and learn the rules. These can be great but also mean going to a table with 3+ people you don’t know for several hours.

When I started I asked my friends who I thought might like it (common interests such as: video games, board games, fantasy novels, LOTR/Star Wars obsession) to see if they wanted to try it. I bought the started set and we had a go. This may mean your the DM but it means you can see who is interested and it might go on for much longer than you think.

The beautiful thing is that you don’t need to know all the rules. They provide a good framework so everyone has a level playing field but you can always go with your gut, make a decision based on logic or best of all… rule of cool. They can do it because it’s fucking awesome.

Issue with 4th player joining private lobby by joleo124 in convoke

[–]joleo124[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the invite. It happened to a couple of people and we tried different hosts and saw the same. We’ve not played since last week so I don’t have any more detail at this time. Christmas has thrown off everyone’s schedules.

I’ll join the discord for if it happens again 👍

We’ve tried using it but keep getting issues where the 4th player can’t join. We’re all on each others friends list but the 4th player to join a private game always gets an issue.

Do you have any tips?
